How underrated is Fernandinho?

Totally agree, and while games are won by goals, and goalscorers are always the hero's, he makes us tick, and allows the hero's the freedom to do their work, whilst also chipping in with the odd important goal himself.
 
An absolutely amazing player who is often overlooked. He earned some plaudits and made a few player of the half season lists at places, but you'll find him sadly under the radar more often than not since he only chips in a few goals and the guys who score more often get a bump in those sorts of lists.

Looking forward to many more years of him at City! Somewhat shocking that City have not tied him down for a few more years yet as his contract is up after next season. Hopefully he signs a new deal during the next few months and doesn't get down to his final year!
 
True story - City signed Fernando with the intention of freeing up Fernandinho. Problem is, Fernando had injuries and didn't adapt quite as well as they had hoped. Promise you that's true....

Errh! Seeing as he has played in 20 games and starting 19 in spite of a niggle that kept him out of a few. I don't know how much more Manuel can play him. He has started more games than anyone besides Yaya. So I really don't get your point. Unless that is, its just another Manuel sux post. Then cool.
 
He is the most underrated player in the world. I wouldn't swap him for any central midfielder in the world (even pogba).
 
I think Silvas lack of form has had a lot to do with Dinho being out as he has had to come Deeper and deeper to get the ball where he is not as effective, where as when Dinho plays Silva can play in those tight little pockets of space between the defence and midfield of the opposition because he knows Dinho will find him with those clever little balls. Undoubtedly Dinho is one of the best in Europe
 
The guy's a class act. I wish we'd signed him a few years earlier. No disrespect to Shakhtar or the Ukranian league, but he should have been playing at this level for much longer.
 
He's very nearly earnt the right to be included in the same bracket as our modern day greats,kompany,silva,hart,zaba and aguero - i love his ability,but even more so, his no nonsense attitude and passion.
 
Just watched the highlights of last night again, rightly SKY's man of the match, the pass for Sergio in the first minute last was almost perfect, he doesn't just break play up, he does an awful lot more.
