how was you Matchday experience against swansea

Mine wasnt great other than the match. We had a new bloke sitting next to us. Without wanting to sound unkind, he was a hefty chap who really needs 2 seats to fit his frame.

I am not sure that we should have to sit with legs slanted to watch the game.

Have enquired about moving on the back of this as very uncomfortable.

Anone else have this type of problem?

I agree entirely. Nothing worse than when you have someone new sat next to you and they get in your way.

Game: GREAT
Goals: GREAT
Seeing the players we have: GREAT
Swansea played well and added to the game: GREAT
Sawnsea fans: GREAT
City fans: NOT BAD, SANG A BIT BETWEEN THE SECOND AND THIRD GOALS.
Stewards kicking fans out: A FUCKING DISGRACE!
Fans leaving early: DOES MY FUCKING HEAD IN!

Overall it should have been great but was brought down by my fellow Blues being turfed out and fans leaving early.

not great but not bad either.

I don't like the people im sat with (im on my own), A family in front of me and this old fella who just stands there motionless all game. I know it was only first game of the season but chants/songs wasn't even getting to my block.

Well, was great to see everyone who sits around me still there. And the game was great, the atmosphere ok.........but..........(and this may sound anal)......

On most occasions I drive to the game, and my mate who I go with doesn't drink, so instead of gulping down several pints of lager (20p less than last year I believe??!!), a couple of Diet Coke's are usually ordered pre match. Now, because I sit in the South Stand, 6 seats from the visiting fans, my drink has to be decanted from its bottle into a paper cup. No problem with that.

My problem is that because the stuff is so gassy, it takes the eejit serving me some 5-10 minutes to pour my drink as they're waiting for the froth to go down (either that or I ask for a flake with it). So not only does this hold the queue up behind me, but pisses people off and makes me wish I'd not bothered ordering in the first place!!!

FFS City, install a bloody postmix system!!! Easier, quicker and you'll make more money from the fecking thing!!!!

And, in addition to the decanting issues, they've upped the price. 20 f'in pence!!!

Other than that.....all good, rant over!!!

Left Altrincham at 7.05 pm parked up at the stadium by 7.40pm! Glad that the crowd seemed patient and I felt we would still have scored more, even if Kun handn't arrived. Not sure if we would have scored 4, but we were well worth the 3 pts. Swansea, will stay up and there fan's were great. Will Greenwood, a life long blue, should be asked back, a genuine blue and young Natalie already has a better grasp of the job than Ferris!

-- Wed Aug 17, 2011 5:59 pm --

I think were ever possible, anyone working on a match day, or for City in general should have to take a "Citizien", test, a good 50 cross referenced questions about City, at interview.

I normally go to boozer before game but went to city square on monday and thought it was good, dont know how much the weather had to do with it.
The only thing that does my head in is the Berlin wall that is put up after every game. Its a pain when you have to walk away from town then come back on yourself to walk down ashton new road. Plus you then get city fans thinking your away fans, was told to feck of back to wales on monday. I know we have to consider the human rights of the away fans and not keep them in etc. and yet a certain team down the road are allowed to do it after the match.

-- Wed Aug 17, 2011 7:11 pm --

I normally go to boozer before game but went to city square on monday and thought it was good, dont know how much the weather had to do with it.

^^ I hate that wall too mate ^^

But you do know the most important people in that stadium are the away fans don't you?! They get the best seats in the ground for singing and making noise aswell as getting on tele doing it in a mass of 3000 all sat together. Plus they have priority on where they leave the stadium and access to the road over us peasants in the East Stand who might just want to go to town or even just down to the Townley!

awesome . 5 cans of carlsberg were accompanied by brilliance from Kun,Dzeko and silva..
cant wait for next match day..excited by kun's performance , i am planning to buy a crate of corona to match kun's level ;) for the next match

Left work in West Bromwich at 4pm drove to the Eithad Stadium parked up at 6pm in North car park 1, quick Superman clothes change for me and the Mrs and off to the City Square.
Spent a great 75 minutes having pie & chips and a quick beer whilst watching the pre-match goings-on. Both the food and beer were leagues above the swill served up at Wembley and cheaper too!
Grabbed a Holland's Meat & Potato pie in the Stadium just before kick-off, nice and hot but £3.50, come on somebody is having a laugh.
Took up our new seats in the CB Level 1.
Enjoyed the game overall (except the first 20 minutes), tried to remember the last time I attended a game when it was 0-0 at half-time and we went on to win 4-0. Could only come up with the Colin Bell come back game against Newcastle in 1977.
Left early so as to embarrass the Club, oh no sorry to make the 93 mile journey home to Birmingham and get home before before 1am.
Overall, really enjoyed the evening and looking forward to a more sociable kick-off time against Wigan, when I promise I'll stay til the very end and not embarrass the Club.

Great to be back home - and wow...loved the padded seats!!! Everyone round me has now decided not to bring blankets on cold nights....

Will Greenwood was ace....can't decide whether to wear my scarf a la Mancini or in the back pocket like Greenwood. Don't need to wear it now I have a padded seat.

However, the biggest thank you has to be for giving us KUN
