How worried are you about the CL?

Like if we get past Kiev (which we 100% should do now), how worried are you about us coming up against a world class side given our form against half decent Premier League sides. Or do we have it in us to surprise the best? Genuine thoughts...

I think a lot of it depends on when KDB is fit. He is key when on top of his game. We have every chance of progression to the last four if our big players perform to their potential.

Worried?
The chance of being up against 1 of the best in Europe -again?
Why should we be worried?
Surely you aren't suggesting we should shit ourselves at playing Bayern or Barca AGAIN! If we make it past the rest in this comp sooner or later we have to get to play one of them.
What will be will be, i just enjoy the ride.
If we get battered - so what! it'll at least be further than we've ever gone in the comp before.
Worried? Nahh.

I'm not. The problem isn't quality it's motivation. Likely we'd love but I reckon we'd raise it enough to have a good go. And we should have got further than other British teams. I'd be more worried about underestimating Wolfsburg

Getting beaten by Real Madrid or Barcelona will be a less embarrassing than losing to West Ham at home, Stoke away, drawing 0:0 with Villa and Norwich - the whipping boys of the league.

What's there to be worried about, we've been centre of the circus for a while now. It all comes with having a clown at the helm.

That's a good way of looking at it. I've always approached the CL games against the elite with a worried excitement, although it's more of a worried feeling this time round.

Realistically we've got pretty much no chance of winning the Champion's League. We should get past Kiev tonight, they'd need to score a minimum of 3 goals at the Etihad to make it through and I just don't see that scenario happening, but our chances of lifting the trophy are slim to none. We might get lucky and draw one of the "lesser" sides in the quarter final, I'd snap your hand off to be offered Wolfsburg or Benfica, and I'd probably take Atletico too (assuming they make it past PSV). If we draw Real, Barca, Bayern or PSG then you'd have to say our days are numbered. There's nothing we've done all season to suggest we're remotely capable of getting past a truly top side. We've not beaten any of the top sides in the Premier League, not even once, and even in Europe, when facing a decent side like Juventus, we lost home and away. We'll lose to the first good side we play. This season has been awful.

I agree. When I saw the thread title, I just thought wtf.

Worried no, grateful, yes

Nowhere near as awful as the 35 seasons I watched where we won fuck all and were dogshit!

Not worried. Would just like to get someone other than barca or bayern for a change!
Athletico would be a good trip if they end up in the sombrero for Friday (and if we do too-we not through just yet!)

I'm more worried about us drawing Bayern, see Guardiola celebrating a goal and some of our fans turning on him before him even joins.

Kiev is a quality side. I'd rate our chances of advancing 50-50 - because, Kiev will be up for it, and we won't.

We'll stumble through the game - and The Master Demotivator - will be clueless as to how to change the game; he'll make bizarre substitutions which will negatively impact our chances of winning.

And... by the way - strategic genius that TMD is - he'll fucking start 442. Up big time against an "on paper" inferior rival - it's gonna be fucking 442.

50-50 that we advance - and I'm honestly hoping that we don't - we need to 100% concentrate on a top-4 finish in the BPL this year. Who the hell cares whether or not we advance, this year, in the CL; we have zero chance of winning it.

No matter who we draw assuming we get through we are likely to be knocked out in the next round.

What we have to ensure or least what we need to focus on is our last 9 games and obtaining at least as many points as West Ham , Manure , Liverpool , Southampton and hopefully one more point than Arsenal do.

Failure to do that and it would be our worst season since 2008.

Million miles off winning it, hope we get barca and will show the owners how shit we really are, and how far we're off from being a world class side

I'm sure I recognise your posts from the Daily Mail comments section....

I've never got worried about any one game of football. Apprehensive and excited? Definitely. If you are that way inclined though why worry about getting into the last 8? That's eh we enter it isn't it?
