How would you describe your relationship with London?

Spent 2 years working in London in the early 90s, worked at the Tower hotel by Tower Bridge,
more of a working holiday really, lived in the hotel for a while then down to Stepney Green, and ended up on the Isle of Dogs,
It was a good time to be a Manc in London, the Hacienda was at it's hight and Madchester was in full swing, always had some foreign bird accompany me up here on weekend visits.
never made any London friends, all my mates were from other parts of the UK & Australian,
great city, had a good 2 years and came back here with a different look on life, this was pre Internet days & mobile phones were still house bricks,
it was also pre the IRA bomb so Manchester was a very different place back then, nowadays Manchester is quickly becoming a mini London imo.

You're so right Chris. They'll never know the joys of having Dijon mustard rather than Colman's with their steak and chips.

This is it, PB. It's this level of basic ignorance you're dealing with that is depressing.

By the way, did you try that avocado and foie gras salad dressing that Paul Lake's Left Knee suggested to you?

A few minutes from where I work - Coram fields area. Lincoln's Inn is nice too.

I left Greenwich out because they've only got 2 1/2 days and it's a bit of a slog out there, Hampton Court too. The Bank of England museum is small, but does have a gold bar you can pick up.

Ah. I'm in the Holborn area so you're not a million miles away. (well you are, but you know what I mean).

Do you know Ciao Bella's at the top of lambs conduit street?

Don't have a relationship with London at all.
Only I ever go is for football.
Doesn't interest me one bit

londons alright been to better and worse cities than the place, always enjoyed it when there but not arsed when I am not.

Me and my Manchester love affair have come to an end, i'm at the point in life where there is nothing left for me here so am making the move down to London in October. Still got a season ticket though and would be travelling to away games if any London based blues fancy a tag along.
