Put it this way, I'd much sooner see Mancini in the Chelsea dugout than Pep.

The man is a legend for us but we've moved on and the Pep brand of football is the next step for us. I'd actually love to see the tactical battles between the two when we met each other.

If a Mancini thread appears, he will be discussed, good, bad and warts and all.

Nowhere does it say no dissenting voices.

Some of the personal abuse is stepping over the line as well.

I posted on his thread yesterday and imo, wasn't disrespectful yet called all sorts.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has defended former manager Roberto Mancini, insisting the Italian did not 'lose the dressing room' during the Blues' disappointing 2012/13 campaign.

Despite starting the season with Community Shield success against Chelsea, the Etihad Stadium side laboured in their attempt to defend their Premier League title. City finished 11 points behind arch rivals Manchester United and crashed out of the Champions League at the group phase without winning a single game.

Reports of a dressing room revolt first emanated in October following a 3-1 loss to Ajax in Amsterdam, while goalkeeper Joe Hart was believed to have clashed with his manager in the aftermath of City's derby defeat to United in December.

The former Sampdoria and Lazio striker left his post a year to the day since winning the Premier League in the most dramatic of fashions; Aguero netting in the final seconds of the season to steal the silverware away from the Red Devils.

And the Argentine front-man, who opened his account for 2013/14 in City's 4-0 drubbing of Newcastle on Monday evening, has stuck up for Mancini, stating the players never had a problem with the manager.

Speaking exclusively to FourFourTwo, he said: "Whenever a team isn't at its best, the press are looking for stories to explain why.

"Mancini never had a problem with anyone and we got on well with him because he always had the club's best interests at heart.

"The club have the right to decide whether he was going to stay or not at the end of the season, but there certainly weren't any problems from us."

There's nothing like your first time. Your first rinse, first love, first child, first car, first title....... Nothing rarely ever comes close and irrespective of what some internet loons may say, Mancini was the man who gave me the first title I can remember and for that I will forever be grateful and will never forget what he did for our club.

If it comes to this. I like Mancini much more than I like Pellegrini. As for Pep, well as far as I'm concerned for City he ain't done anything yet. I would have Mancini back tomorrow. Love the guy. He oozes City.

As a lifelong Blue only three City Managers have a place in my heart. I worshiped Joe Mercer and Malcolm Alison .They did for us in the 60's what Mancini did in the 2010's . So Mancini also is in that elite group.
Mancini had many flaws but he loved us City fans and we loved him back. Pellegrini's lack of emotion or personality just don't connect with many of us.
So I'd be gutted to see Mancini at any other Premiership club.

When the thread about Pellers going to Chelsea was listed I thought without the best team/squad he would not affect us in the slightest.

Bobby Manc I would be gutted. He would organise them and it would be like seeing a soul mate with her new fella. You may have moved on but it would still hurt.

He was the first manager who let Ferguson know in no certain terms that he wasn't intimidated by him. Oh how badly I wanted Mancini to knock Ferguson the fuck out that day. Mancini respected no reputations and gave us our pride back. He also made me feel like the Rags footballing equal and made all comers respect us and as far as I'm concerned he was the man who drove Ferguson into retirement.

Ferguson even said during an interview that he couldn't wait to see the back of Mancini and accolades don't come any bigger than that in my book.
