He'll get them playing cracking attacking football, I'd see them as an immediate threat to us again.
Looking across the league, even if Mourinho went to the rags, I'd still expect 1 & 2 in the league to be us and Chelsea if they have Pellegrini in charge next season. They'll have no European football to deal with which will make a huge difference to the way they can prepare for league games.

Would also mean chelsea would be out of the title race for a few years too. Less than zero chance of it happenning though.

They certainly need to get rid of Terry! He doesn't look great in a Mourinho defensive set up, he'll be fucked royally behind a Pellegrini midfield.
I think there'll be big changes at Chelsea this summer. Can't see them keeping both Hazard and Oscar without CL football. Pockets of that squad need to be rebuilt. What Pellegrini will do is work with the players that Emelano and the Chelsea board give him rather than demanding that they go and sign a bunch of 30 million pound players.

I couldn't be bothered driving Pellergrini to London .
If we are definitely getting Pep, then Pellegrini to Chelsea would be a great move for him and for us. He will play a much better style of football down there and be more attacking, but they won't win the league with him. Abramovich will be a lot happier with the footballing style but the defence will be as open as ours has been.
