Hows everybody coping?

Went down to City Store at the ground this afternoon with my lad o buy a shirt to ship over the pond to LA for my sister(she is spreading the gospel according to St Roberto to the uneducated of Santa Monica!) the site of the massed ranks of TV trucks preparing the equipment, food deliveries being made to the catering vans, and City Square looking sick and span ready for tomorrow just brought a huge smile to my face, and a thought to myself "yep, everything is in place, everyone is ready for the world o witness the new coming"

Just really excited.

I have been completely chilled all through the Season. We have obviously been by far the best Team - but credit to Scum, we just couldn't shake them off and like all sides we had to hit a poor spell.

When we went 8 points behind - I didn't fancy our chances but I knew it wasn't over.

Like everyone else on here ( and anyone who says different is a liar) I have just been counting my Chickens since we beat Newcastle and Scum.

This is loads better than nightmares about Delaps long throws for weeks before the Final last year.

There is a great big chasm yawning in front of me. Life continues as normal, just, from now until 3pm tomorrow. I know what I'll be doing and know where I'll be.

The morning will be filled with the return of my daughter from the USA - thank god for something important to get me through the morning.

Afternoon starts at The Crown in Bredbury followed by bus trip to Mary D's and then on to the ground - beers will flow, bowels will be emptied, burgers (with cheese and bacon and damn yes onions and ketchup will be consumed) and then I will take my seat in 201 before the game...

But nothing exists beyond 3pm tomorrow, I dare not even think nor contemplate anything about the 90 minutes that follows or indeed any time period after that until eternity.

This world ends at 3pm tomorrow. A new world starts sometime around 4.50pm. I have no clue what that is and dare not think about what it might be for fear of putting the mockers on anything about it.

Roll on 3pm - its D Day blues!!!!
Mr Nicklin no less!! See you in the Crown
Indeed Mr Heath - I think you should introduce your youngest to the pleasures of beer this afternoon!

Coated as I am with the trusted family recipe of a full body crust of guava jelly and vaseline I am immune to the doubting torments of lesser beings. It served Uncle Richthofen well during the 1914 unpleasantness and Great Aunt Brunehilde survived the Great Harwood Flower Society scandal intact so I have had no need to go to my local tonight and consume an unfeasibly large amount of alcohol. I swear to it.

Jesus emotional f**king wreck. Just watched Bluemoon rising, its a rollercoaster just watching that, the opening scenes of City parading trophies nearly brought a tear to my eye staright away. I know it was a bad season when that was filmes but it will make all the sweeter if we flourish tomorrow.

Now i have Doves and Oasis blasting out on the old headphones, the beers are getting me pumped up, especially reminscing of all the past 32 years of watching the blues without a glimmer of coming near to a title challenge.

WOW IS THIS WHERE WE ARE!!!!

It's ok for you lot, I have all day to wait, ko at 10pm here and my heart's pounding already. Got my kid's party this morning and a game of footy to play at 1pm to take my mind off it but then 7 long hours ....never been so nervous over a City game.

Coping a lot more now I've heard Diakite and Shaun Derry are both almost certainly out. CMON CITY WE CAN DO THIS!

I'm at work so at least I can get my mind off city. I guess I can. I continue to ask about to customers if they're "soccer" fans. Got a few interesting convos started. None the less, I want Sunday @ 630am to roll over. Really happy for the blues.

Re: Hows everybody coping?
