Huddersfield(H) Post Match Thread

You can keep saying this over and over and over again but you are wrong and our record in the league this season tells you that you are wrong.

Liverpool aside virtually every single side has defended deep and with 2 banks of four yet we have won 30 games scoring 102 goals on the way to a record PL win.

I know how many games we have won pal, what I’m saying is that it’s infuriating that we can’t seem to do it consistently. We just seemed off the boil today and it just didn’t click.

How do you win 30 league games yet not be able to do it consistently?

Im struggling to see any logic to what you are trying to say?

I think the drink might be affecting your logic, mate. That’s fine, happens to us all from time to time.

We are champions, though, so try to enjoy it!

Has there ever been a team in the premiership who has done it more consistently? I think not.

Now that all the celebrations are over, maybe we will be better focussed for Brighton and Southampton. 100 points are still in sight.

Just got back in.
Played like Juan Kerrs.
Nothing up front - Sane,Sterling, Jesus totally ineffective .
Walker gash.
KDB and Spanish Dave below par, looked as though they had their minds on the World Cup.
Udders although totally defensive had the better chances in the first half and could have snuck it at the end (twice in injury time).
Can't remember if we had a decent shot on goal.
Lots of high crosses into our big target man ( oh sorry we haven't got one), simply gobbled up every time by the Huddersfield gorillas.
All in all that performance meant the whole occasion felt a bit flat.

Exactly my sentiments. See there are quite a few on here today who have come home feeling disappointed on what again should have been a brilliant day of celebration.

If we are to get back to back titles we have to learn from games like today and do much better next time. Typical of City though ha ha ,flame throwers on the hottest day of the year ! Magic!

Pep said on numerous occasions that winning all 4 was simply not possible and history tells you its impossible.

Whilst i appreciate the sentiment of aiming for the stars, you also have to accept that more often than not you will only reach the moon and a league and cup double is some moon.

We have broken virtually every record in the book in doing it as well and we still have 2 games to go to do every single one of them so im sorry but i dont agree with the sentiment we could and should have done so much more.

I'd certainly have taken that at the start of the season!

Hopefully again next season. Not sure we'll ever win all four, it's just not realistic with the amount of games and the standard of refereeing.

Corrected for accuracy.

City gave more balls away today during the match than in the celebrations

Who cares there due or deserve an off day today of all days

I hope they get the 104 goals and 100 points but if they don' so be it I'll probaby never see a season as good as they have put on for us this season
