Huddersfield v City post match

Could we not play the replay this weekend? Huddersfield are not in the champions league and can rearrange their league game to midweek easier than us surely?

How spoilt have City fans become? We have no right to win games, especially against a side like Huddersfield who worked their arses off today. It is obvious that the stand in players are not strong enough, but their effort could not be faulted. The two seasons under Pellegrini would have seen us lose a tie like today. Stones is improving all the time, Fernando was good once he got to the pace of the game and even Bravo was decent. The worry for me is Aguero, he worked really hard, but he cannot find that touch in front of goal this season, but his class will show in time.

It's fair to say the same about Huddersfield. They also have a big game mid-week and rested several players, plus their best player Mooy wasn't allowed to play.

No drama's over the result but I think we should expect better quality from our players.

That's your opinion pal which you're entitled to, which slightly contradicts my opinion where i thought that they were more than a match for us. Let's leave it there eh, we don't have to agree!
 
Reading the comments and while I agree Garcia and a few more of the Academy players should be given a chance over the likes of Fernando,Delph, Navas and Nolito either in this game or the replay again it is down to whether Pep does really trust them is the issue.

Happy with the performance.

Difficult pitch. Full stadium. Classic banana skin F.A cup tie.
 
Glad Fernando & Delph got some minutes, and sad that Aguero & Fernandinho played 90 minutes. We need them to start against Monaco.
 
The drop off in quality from our best XI to our 2nd string is disgusting. Any team that had a regular midfield of Fernando, Delph, Navas and Nolito would be fighting relegation. They're players that If you dropped one or two into our best team you can probably get away with it, starting them all together is a recipe for disaster. How someone of Peps managerial ability plus his desire for creating beautiful football can ever contemplate playing them lot together is truly beyond me.

I was happy with that performance.

I'll take a replay from that type of fixtures 8 days a week.

While disappointed Aguero did not score have to understand the supporting players feeding him - Delph, Nolito, Fernando, Navas. Replace these with Sterling, Sane, Yaya and Silva and there would be many clear chances for him to execute on.
