Not strictly true, dolphins kill porpoises just for fun and lions will kill cubs just so the mother will come back into season and they can get a shag.
I know lions kill cubs to bring the mother into season, what you didn't say was that the cubs would of been another lions cubs but could of been killed or attack by another lion who wants to take over the pride. you know start another bloodline. didn't know about dolphins attacking porpoises thou.

In this case the bear "murdered" the people. There was no provocation to excuse the act. Pity one of the humans didn't have a gun to shoot it before it all began. Unfortunate but people before animals every day of the week.

Yep, I agree. I know of a police dog handler who had his bicep ripped off by the police dog (German Shepherd) he was responsible for. Apparently he was bent down doing DIY work in the kitchen and the dog just decided to take a chunk of his arm. Not all German Shepherds would do this of course, just a freak event.
It's down to peronal choice whether you take a gun or a pepper spray, I suppose.
Always safest to take a gun though of course.

Anyone got any evidence that anyone was actually really hurt? Could be mom bear charged, guys shat themselves knock camera off and mom bear breaks charge and wanders off or something else. No evidence anywhere I looked that this ended as op stated

two things, the insatiable appetite of the media for gory deaths, the other is the improbability of finding five people in bear country without a gun between them.
Apart from that no coroners report, even in Alaska they are not that laid back

I've found articles about Bears eating rubbish, chasing people and being a nuisance from Russia. I think it would have been big news if one went on a rampage and killed 3 men and their dog. So why didn't we see anymore of video? So everyone is getting their knickers in a twist over nothing and the dog is fine, probably lying on a bear skin rug eating a bone while people on the other side of the world mourn for him
