hugh feriss again

This is dreadful. BTW click through to YouTube and thumbs down the most popular comment in this video, the rags are at it again. Obsessed, all over every City video/article/everything.

Nowt wrong with Fanzone Danny... a genuine blue, just like everyone else here. How many times have we had the shit ripped out of us because of cock up interviews/articles from the club? That guide the club wrote the other week... may of been in good humour, but alot of people didn't understand it. I always said that someone who does this stuff doesn't need to be a pro when it comes to interviews, they just need to know what NOT to say... I remember a while ago there was an interview where one kept using the word "Massive". We all know which set of fans like to use that to take the piss, it just helps that the club don't give people ammunition...


I have nothing against Hugh Feriss, last year at coms there was a training day where the ground was open to everyone... it was streamed on the website and the announcer/host was a disaster. You would think it was botany bay play area in chorley. The only thing is that with neutral interviewers, theres a risk of them sticking their foot in the shit. However, so far Feriss has done nothing major... the forced poznan and trying to get each side of the crowd in albert square was abit ott.

And the bit where he said its good that no-ones lookin round to see the full stadium doing it.... which prompted everyone to do so..

But to the main point, I don't particulary "like" him, but I don't get why some folk dislike him enough to be bothered by him.
 
for me albert square was shite to be honest, not enough people in there due to the stupid way the police ringed it off having to que the length of brazzenose street, i was singing on my fucking own the majority of the time, bah nevermind, coundnt get a ticket for the due at the ground so cant comment on that

exactly how i feel!
 
my single biggest gripe with him(and I've listened to him a lot) is he barely talks about the game in front of him...he'll talk about Tevez's future,the poznan,bobby manc,whatever...please if you read this just focus on telling us whats going on in the game more.

Other than that i think he comes across well and is doing a good job.

to be fair why would he, were at the game so we should be watching it, whereas he will speak about tevez future because more than likly we will be talkin about it in concourse/stands

Hell no..! certainly don't want him talking during the game.. imagine that...

I think I would start to hate him then... ;)
 
bluemooner some of us rely on the coverage on mcfc to get our fix and arent all lucky enough to be based in manchester and get to every game.rather than hear about stuff I can read on here all week I'd like to hear the game described more...to sum it up he is doing TV style commentary as opposed to radio style...pointless if your audience cant see the action.

I had no idea Hugh Ferris did any sort of commentary..
 
yeah he does the key103 radio stuff the site links to...goes off at halftime for about 15 mins so that would explain that.Like I said he's half decent but just needs to work on being more descriptive.

I think he does a pretty decent job, to be honest. Never spoken to him properly, but have been in the same interview environment-come-huddle sort of thing as him once or twice and he's very professional.

As for the half time presentation in the stadium, I think he does a pretty good job. He's working with a crowd of people who aren't really paying attention to what's going on on the screens for a long time and his interviews seem decent enough. To be honest, I think it works quite well when he has that day's CityTV commentator chat with him about the first half highlights.

Personally, I think he presents very well.

I was in Albert Square and in the Ground. I dont understand what all the hate is about. It must be a Bluemoon thing! He is paid by City to do the job and this he did even if it was only getting the the whole of the sqaure doing the Pozman, warming up the crowd. This was a night of celebrating and yet some still find things to moan about. The club must read some of these posts and wonder why do we bother!
 
I mentioned this in another thread but it seems to be "cool" on Bluemoon to dislike Hugh. He does a decent job,ok not to everyone's taste but a lot of the stick is unfair.

Agree mate but let face it, its what the angry brigrade do best! Anyone visiting this site on a Moan day for the first time would think this is what the site is about. Someone even started a post having a pop at badly drawn boy ffs.

Actually he's right and you are wrong. It is Poz-nan (with a slight "nye" on the last N. The Polish missus assures me.
