Mike mclean should just do it all on his own
Exactly!
If all the pre-match, half time, post-match bollocks with the eighteen presenters was just all scrapped, not one of us would bat an eyelid.
It’s the same with all the flag wavers and banner holders on the pitch... get rid of them, they even have a co-ordinator with a headset/mic on telling them where to stand...
Get rid of it all!
The match day experience will not be impacted, in fact would be less annoying without it all.
We don’t need all the big screen presenting, just bang some old goals on.
We don’t need needless chats to random minor celebrities, just stick some Manchester tunes on.
We don’t need all the flag wavers on the pitch, all flags and banners should be fan made and fan waved only in the stands, as soon as the club get involved it loses its credibility and is just cheesy.
We don’t need pyrotechnics for the same reason.
It’s all fat to ‘try-hard’!
I go to the match for the football. If I can see some old goals and hear some decent Manchester tunes then that goes well with the experience of the day. That’s all that’s needed at the game.
Plus getting rid of all that shite might give them a good reason not to keep increasing our SC prices.
It's not, some people , probably younger fans like all that, some don't but they don't have to bother with it. Probbaly 99% aren't bothered like bits don't like other bits. City Square always seems busy,. The cost of it all will be negligible and have zero effect on prices.Spot on
My god someone got out of bed the wrong side this morning. Let’s go back to the brass band marching up and down before the game and at half time and the old dears with the tea trolley. I like City Square entertainment,ok the ‘comedian’ presenter is not always funny and a bit crass but it is better than waiting in an empty stadium waiting for it to fill up from the bars and betting shops 2 minutes before KO. I think all the flag waiving and banners is an attempt to get some life into the stadium. In the 60’s people used to get in early and start singing and chanting long before KO now everyone is in the bar and betting and the stadium is dead. Doing what you say will just make it worse.
I have a problem with him belittling our former players with his snide remarks and then proudly announcing Rooneys 200th goal at HT during one of our games. He's a weasle who knows very little about our club. Cheesy would be much better.
In what way does he belittle former players? He’s BBC and clearly the club want a professional approach to proceedings. Don’t remember the Rooney thing at all. Maybe I was having a pint and enjoying myself.

Well in 325 you can’t hear a word anyone around you says due to the volume of the PA I’d rather have your problemI go to watch the football and at half time I talk about the first half with the people around me or we catch up with our news. However, it's a good job that I don't want to listen to whatever is happening with the presenters as we can't hear it anyway!! They still haven't sorted out the PA system for the area where I sit and we either catch one word in ten or just hear a load of blah, blah blah. :-)
Same issue in SS3, deafening.Well in 325 ypu can’t hear a word anyone around you says due to the volume of the PA I’d rather have your problem
Do you have to pay extra for your season ticket to not be able to hear Ferris?I go to watch the football and at half time I talk about the first half with the people around me or we catch up with our news. It all started at two clubs: Stoke City and Wigan rugby league. The PA at the Academy last night during the HT shenanigans was just horrendous. I had to stop talking to the guy next to me until they'd finished. Surely there's some needle on a machine that can tell them how many fuckin' eardrums they've perforated, and then turn it down a touch!
