Brazilian starlet Henrique is set to seal a move to England with Queens Park Rangers ready to land him.

The Sao Paulo striker is one of the most highly-rated young forwards in Brazil and is a key member of the national Under 20 side.

The 20-year-old helped Brazil lift the World Youth Cup last year and he also finished the tournament as top-scorer.

He has been linked to clubs all over Europe with big-names in Spain, Italy and Germany all said to be keen.

But now it seems he is set for a move to the Premier League with Mark Hughes ready to make him his first signing since taking charge earlier this week.

It is believed that QPR have negotiated a deal to sign the Samba sensation on an 18-month loan with an option to then make that a permanent deal in 2013.

Henrique himself refused to speak about the speculation, saying: "I don't know anything" when asked.

However, his coach Emerson Leao says that he is expecting one of his prized assets to be sold imminently.

"Our president [Juvenal Juvincio] is doing what he promised," he said.

"I wanted to see people fighting for a place. He understood it was time for a change and these changes aren't over.

"Henrique could leave tomorrow or any time soon."

What's that? Hughes involved with third party ownership deal for unproven South American football star? I wonder if Kia gets any of the proceeds for this one.

It's all just a little bit of history repeated

Whenever there is speculation about Hughes' transfer targets it is usually players he has managed before that are mentioned. This always makes me think of Garry Cooke's quote that Hughes operates within a comfort zone. How right he was!

Now this is clutching at straws .... Quote from the Fulham Chronicle "Better still from a Rangers point of view, Santa Cruz has hit form for Betis by scoring in the last two games while making 20 appearances for the Spanish club this season"

2 goals in twenty means he has hit form ha ha.

Lets start a bidding war, I bet Real Betis would offer at least £3.50, if we can get someone to bid around £8 Highes is bound to offer 3 miilion.

He has actually scored 5 league goals in 9 starts and 6 sub appearances for Betis.
