Hughes future being considered.

Who can we realistically get if Hughes is sacked tomorrow let's say.

I'm not against sacking him but would be interested to see some hats thrown into the ring.

IMO there's no chance of getting Mourinho at this moment in time. I like Hiidink and Van Gaal.

Avram Grant wouldn't be a bad caretaker but I'm not sure he'd be on the owners' list...

Hiddink, Van Gaal and is Rijkaard still available?

Let's just put it down to experience, or huge lack of in Hughes case, and move onwards and upwards. We gave him a fair crack at it and he's failed. We put aside the fact he's a rag and he simply threw it back in our faces.

We can blame the players, we can blame the refs but at the end of the day we've not been good enough all season and rather than sack the squad, as some plebs would like, the only option is to offload Hughes to some no hopers like Bolton and for us to appoint a man in charge who we know can attract the talent our money can afford.

Very well put.

As I recall, Hughes came here wanting to see if he could take a step up. He left Blackburn giving the wish to take that very challenge as a reason.

I think it's now obvious that he's not up to it. The last thing we need at the moment is a learner manager in charge.

Are you so naive best case scenario is mid table worst is getting relegated.
IMO we will not be going down. If Hughes is allowed to bring in players and stay on, then we will climb the table rapidly, again IMO.
Go on then, dazzle me, what the fuck are you basing that assumption on?
It is not an assumption, it is my opinion as I stated twice.

I am basing it on the fact that he has brought in good players already. Arguably our best players this season, except Ireland of course.

Zabaleta
SWP
Kompany

Jo, TBH and Robinho were not his signings, we all know that. OK Glauber has not even played but he said he was not sure on him, which is why he only signed a 1 year deal.

Bridge is another good addition. He will add to this throughout January and we will be a much better team come Feb and will climb the table.

Trouble makers will be sold or left out in the cold.

If City brought in the likes of Van Gaal, Mourinho or Hiddinck etc...I think they would be able to attract players that perhaps Hughes couldn't irrespective of league performance etc. And I'd guess the ADUG know this too.

That's been my point from the very beginning (I just haven't beat the drum about it, and slagged Hughes off at every opportunity, because I have a serious problem with some of our squad), i.e. September 2nd.

The only name that could offer instantaneous critical mass (sufficient to overcome our inertia), could actually attract players on the believable promise of CL football soon, could actually help reduce (not eliminate) silly wages, is, imo, Jose. If Jose could be tied down to summer, and a caretaker (with Joses approval and consent of course) was put in charge, this could attract players now, and during the rest of the season.

Thing is, but a couple of days ago Jose seemed to make his most definitive statement since he began playing the media in October: he is staying at Inter, and intends to see out his contract. Well, we'll see.

Think there are fewer of us who aren't ITK - or at least don't pretend to be, or pretend to be mates with City players ffs!

I was told that City were already talking to Mourinho about a month ago. Ajay has also posted about this too. I think Mourinho is a possible but not whilst Inter are riding high. Didn't Mourinho have a pop at Italian football recently and intimate that the Premiership was the place to be?

Firstly I dont think for one minute Jose will be coming to City. I think he's going to see his contract out at Inter, and as he's been personally recomended by Bacon Chops, he'll take over at the Swamp when that t*at fergerson goes.

Nailed on i think (before you start I have no sources). I'm even willing to stick a few quid on it at the bookies.

But in the last week Slaven Bilic has let it be known he intends to step down at the end of the year from the Croatia job. I think if their FA know he's quitting, they may be persuaded to allow him to leave should a club like City sound him out...

I also dot think for a minute Hiddink will leave Russia, he has a very easy life there & not too much is expected from him, other than qualification. Money is not an issue as he is on Romans payroll.
I also think his ambition is on the decline....

There are a number of dutch coaches who would get linked with the post (FR, Co Adrianse, Van Gaal etc) but I would expect the two most realistic targets to be Mancinni & Bilic.

What do you think?

Crap Squad = Crap Results = Sack Manager = New Manager = Fresh Chance For Crap Squad + Few Changes = Crap Squad = Crap Results = Sack Manager = New Manager = Fresh Chance For Crap Squad + Few Changes = Crap Squad = Crap Results = Sack Manager = New Manager = Fresh Chance For Crap Squad + Few Changes = Crap Squad = Crap Results = Sack Manager = New Manager = Fresh Chance For Crap Squad + Few Changes = Crap Squad = Crap Results

See the re-occuring theme here, i'm not saying MH is the right man for the job, just that most of the players in our crap squad are only still here because of the "Im the new manager, and we'll start a fresh, prove you worth in training etc" speech.

Get rid of the crap players (Were apparently rich, so pay their contracts in full, and fu@k em off). Then get some top quality in, and come the summer make a decision ref. MH.

He did..But there are rumours of him angling for the best possible situation of course.

I mean..He could end up with the rags as well.

FFS, this is all based on a rumour, from some ITK on another forum who admits that it's just a rumour in the club, and there's me thinking that most of the club would be off work today, no match and it being a Sunday

Some posters here are ITK, but it varies how much. Nobody has the full story, but some have a very good idea in relation to particular issues.

I know a few people very well who know people that treat our players injuries. I know a few of the people less well who actually do it themselves. But I rarely get to hear stuff that other people on here don't already know. Everybody knows someone who knows somebody else who knows whatever. So we are all ITK really, just to different extents.
