just an observation, you send out the same team 2 weeks in a row,
1 week everyone works there arse off, the next not so enthuastic.
is the manager suddenly shit or are the players not as interested in
playing against lower team's as they are against the top 4 or 5 teams.

for example liverpool then west ham. tonight great result but in the grand
scheme of things, we beat villa even when we have a shit team. just like
we are useless against boro. why do these things keep happening every season.
Is it superstition, a jinx. why do these things keep happening. It's not just CITY.
the dippers are shit away to boro as well. 1 win in 10 years...?

This is where people will say Hughes should have to motivate 20 something year old men who get paid a fortune to do something they love.

i don't mean it as a hughes thread. what i mean is why do team's over the year's
always beat certain teams. bogey as they say. why does history repeat it's self
no matter what team you have or what manager you have. i just find it unusual.

strange one that and a good point. Maybe its the records that stick in your head, gives you more confidence. Or past stories off old players. Haven't a clue, ask god.

I think its probably more to do with tactics than motivation (which is a legit criticism of a manager)

my point is. over the last 20/ 30 years no matter who is manager of any team
there is a history or a jinx even the rags, chelski and the arse always lose to
the teams they lost to in the 70s 80s 90s. WHY is this. the quarter moon is over
mercury on the 20th day of the month. why does this happen................?

Hughes got his tactics spot on tonight IMO, playing Elano in his favourite position showed us what a world class player he is

players who can pass sideways are 10 a penny he can pass forward, ie he has great vision and passing skill, he should play in that creative role week in week out, why can Hughes not see this?

Hughes had his tactics set aside tonight and it showed, because this team was forced on him by injuries, and without Bellamy there was no need of the quick over the top ball, giving our creative players time to do their thing.

Elano played where he should be, freeing up SWP and Ireland to go forward and create space, Caicido was being given passes to him, not in the air, and so held up the ball well and allowed the movment off the ball that gave us so many chances.

Ireland and SWP spent a damm sight less time in our own half looking for the ball than what has been the norm, Elano was the perfect link up with the defence, carrying the ball out and using it to go forwards.

All positives that will be changed by Hughes first chance he gets...............I still want him gone

Agreed. Thought he was accepting the manager of the month award in the post match interview.

so what team would you play? sit Robinho? play Elano in the center? or would you sit Ireland? What a surprise that Hughes manages to pick a team to win with all our injuries and you still try to find a fault with him. Maybe we should make you the manager. I am sure you could handle the pressure. You seem to handle it well on here with your vast amount of knowledge that an actual player/international and EPL manager would never be able to attain!

I am reading what you are saying and its a fair point of view. I am not sure about MH, However I know this. We have to give him, and the team our full support, and see what happens in the Summer. We will not get instant success, it takes time.

I sure did. You are not that quick are you? You implicated Hughes by saying he would change the formation the first chance he got. By that do you mean play Robinho? So my question to you is who would you leave out to play Elano "where he should be?" We all know you want Hughes out so how would you change the formation to fit Elano: Ireland, Robinho, SWP or Bellamy? Or would you play them all? You agreed that they were positives tonight and Hughes would remove them as soon as possible, so how would you set-up the team? Would you play all of them? Please tell as it is clear you feel more qualified than Hughes, so I want some of your intellect. Would you leave out De Jong, or Kompany. Come on, do not be shy.

Here we go again. And not even my own posted opinions, but an "implication" because I agreed with another poster, that Hughes hand was forced by injury?

Enjoy the soccer.

So you cannot give me your starting team? What part of the positives that Hughes would remove? You agreed to a similar statement in a past post.

So please expand on your words? We are all waiting to be enlightened by you football knowledge. I am sure it will be filled with wit and intellect. Add on to that you are a xenophobe. Congratulations. You sir are top shelf!

I thought I exhibited a modicum of patience in previous correspondence with yourself on this board. However, it seems that rather than encourage you to re-read certain posts, I have to repeat myself. Yes I do wish this was paid work!
Hughes had his hand forced through injury to key players, to put out that team. Agreed. Good. That's all. I'll leave Hughes to bask in the reflected glory for now. I'm not paid to predict his next tactical master stroke.
Is it not "soccer" over the Pond ? I did like the "sit Robinho" .

Wow, those are some big words, modicum, patience and correspondence (and all in the same sentence, hell I give you credit for any words over four letters!). I wish I had the intellect to keep up with you. <YAWN> What I am asking, and have asked in every previous post, is what team would you play? Would you sit Robinho (this is what I was referring to when I stated "sit Robinho", I know my vernacular made you sloop down to my level, and for that I apologize) to play Ireland on the left and Elano in the center (as this is "where he should be")? I know that you have a superior intellect and a boosted self-esteem, as all foreigners are below yourself, so please enlighten us. You agreed with the fact that Hughes will "change the positives" from tonight as soon as possible and should "be out". So please (for the fourth time) enlighten us into how you would set the team up to its greatest advantage. I want to be educated by a true City fan, such as yourself.

Lets kill time with the fantasy football chat later. Maybe we can fit in another round of selective quotations from other people's posts.Cya buddy.

so it is past your bed time. no worries. I am not surprised that you avoided the question. taking your position of being anti-Hughes is difficult when people ask what you would do differently when you claim he will change what worked tonight (without giving a reason). I personally do not blame you, it is easy to get swept away with emotions. pm me someday when you have an answer or have any feelings about foreigners that you do not feel appropriate to air in front of the bluemoon community.
