I honestly cannot see them hiring Mancini for 6 months as a seat warmer. Doesn't make sense given his standing in Italy. If it was the case, surely they would have done what Chelsea did with Hiddink and give him a 6 month contract, making it public in the process it was a 6 month thing with a review to be conducted in the summer.

I actually got told last sunday, before the tottenham game that Hughes was on his way, to be replaced by Mourinho before the week was out. I was told this by a bloke I know from my local who is a Leeds fan and has no connections to City. I didnt believe him but he put a 20 quid bet on it with me.

I saw him again last night and said although he was half right he should pay up cos he got it wrong. Which he duly did.

He then went on to tell me that Mourinho is still coming and would be here as soon as Inter exit the Champions league, his reasoning for doing things this way wasnt too dissimilar to the views of the OP. Once again he offered me a £20 bet.

He originally wouldnt tell me his source, but last night he did, I have thought long and hard about posting it on here today, for the time being I will leave it but he is well known in and around City.

Now read into that what you will, I personally I am pleased with Manchini and would prefer to stick with him than chop & change again, but he had something last week and seemed pretty confident when the new bet was placed...........

Hmmm I don't know. Hiddink knows it would anger Abramovich that he had been talking to us so why say anything in the first place, Abramovich wouldn't have to know at all.
