Parker has been transferred for, what 30m in his career.
As jounreyman tend to.

You seem to be mistaking the word 'ridiculous' for the word 'accurate'.

The more moves you have in your career the more transfer fees are paid for you, these add up.

Indeed, it seemed pretty straight forward to me.

There must be loads of 'rubbish' journeymen knocking about who have amassed £30 million worth of transfer fees. Surely Nigel Quashie is up there with him too

There are varying levels of 'Journeyman', League One, Championship and Premiership. Obviously Parker is a Premiership one so, as such, will demand more money than a Championship level one like Quashie. Yes Quashie has played in the Prem, but he's clearly not of Premiership standard.

I never said Parker was 'rubbish', he's just not as good as de Jong.

What a ridiculous thing to say

I think Bluemoon115 says many ridiculous things here and I have to say that's far from that!

Edited by an idiot for supposed accuracy.

;-P

Just the opinion from somebody who has watched DJ for much longer than the 10 Premier League games he's started.

Which evidently appears to be the argument people are making here - proven middle of the road Premier League player with 10 years experience in this country, vs 10 games.

Ah a football snob, he's from abroad so he must be good. I've watched him on youtbe and am now an authority on him

FFS
De Jong seems to get this reaction speak to 10 fans 5 will say great 5 will say bobbins for me he was the best outfield signing in Jan (If Bellamy had stayed fit then yes Bellers would have been) But De Jong is exactly the player we needed in that position he is there to break up opposition attacks and thats what he does. sure it aint prettybut its effective and you don't win 30 Dutch caps if your a mug
He does what a defensive midfielder is supposed to do. Win the ball back and lay it off to the creative players.

How many raking 60 yard passes did Makelele make? How many 30 yard screamers did he score? How many mazy runs did he go on?

De Jong hadnt played for nearly 3 months before joining us, hasnt ever really looked fully fit and has yet to adapt to the pace of the Premiership. He should be a much better player next season.

Anyone who'd take a 30 year old injury prone scott parker over a tidy young dutch international like de Jong doesn't know what they're talking about

exactly what i was thinking, fucking idiot! do you know anything about football? a young former ajax/hamburg player and a regular in the dutch national side better then a mediocre 30 year old injury prone, actually not even mediocre below par player that couldn't get in chelsea's team and now plays for west ham! get a grip man

Agreed, madness
