Cook and ADUG were ready to bin him after the West Brom game last season, one of the reasons why Cassell went, but thats another story for another day.

this thread is rubbish, go on, spin us a tale or two.

It was what i heard so not saying it's definate but it was believable. Mr big boss tells Mr Academy that Mr Manager is a goner, Mr Academy starts to undermine Mr Manager and refuses to co-operate as he knows Mr Manager won't be around for long, Mr Big Boss does a U-Turn and keeps Mr Manager, Mr Academy is now is an awkward posistion as he has undermined Mr Manager and pissed him off big time. Mr Big Boss puts faith in Mr Manager by giving him millions to spend and have a say in how the youth set up is run which means Mr Academy is relived of his duties and sent to top up his tan in Mr Big Boss's home country to avoid any pressure on Mr Manager if results don't go our way.

Like i said, what i heard but is beleivable.

With the funds at our disposal and the talent that it will bring (as it has done already), we need a manager who can handle the big egos of those players.
Moyes like Hughes isn't the man for that job

Moyes could be a great manager, but for me the main thing he hasn't got is PREMIERSHIP WINS .... Mourinio is the only one I'd want.

its ok bringing these names up like moyes but one impotrtant thing is ''can they handle money'' i dont think they could and even moyes could be a recipe for disaster ''mourinio for me''

It may well be rubbish but it's not often a story gathers this much momentum on a managers exit and then turns out to be unfounded.
Results are what is gathering momentum. The media just go for the easy headline and they know City have invested huge amounts, and are struggling for results. When you read the articles, there's nothing in it other than the contact with Hiddink's agent which may not be that meaningful.

I think results would justify a change - but only if that saw someone like Mourinho/Hiddink come in. And that's not going to happen.

Hughes is a good young manager who has probably got this job 5 years too soon.

I agree with that in a way but I feel he got the right Job and then the job changed massively with the takeover

Re: it's done

God I hope so but it defeinately wont happen now. Less than no chance Inter will let him go mid season when they are top of Seria A and in the champions league.

I agree Josh...but I have to say if you look at the OP in the context of what you've just said it's fucking comical!

Hardly takes a fucking mathematician to figure out that there's something brewing...

Yeah I was meaning more about the press reports, Tevez coming out and supporting Hughes etc...it all smacks of one thing and we've all seen it at every other club before when they're about to hire and fire. I know we spoke to Mancini last season when Hughes was under pressure, that does'nt mean he's the man we could be hiring of course but with a golden opportunity to break the top 4 this season this 10 game faltering stretch I think is just a little too much of gamble for them to give him much more time. If they leave it another month and we go past January and 'if' they him allow to spend more money on players he wants and he still does'nt break top 4 then we're stuck with more expensve long term contracts for any new incoming manager to wade through before he sets out his stall of players he wants to sign. And I say top 4 because I honestly think privately thats their target heightened by this seasons form of Liverpool, it may well have started top 6 but things change along the way.
