All things considered our best performance of the season.

Hart had little to do and if you play enough of those types of games you win the title.

Hard fought 2-0 wins are what the premiership is all about whether its at home or away.

We should have scored four if we were as clinical as we should be if we want to take a grip of the premiership but a win is a win.

A bit nervy for 80 minutes with 10 men but the type of win that should give us a big lift.

Common Villa I hope Benteke has his a game ready.

Kompany, I love you but what on earth were you thinking son!

What a performance by Silva!!! He was absolutely imperious!

Garcia, I still lack faith in him but over the last 6 weeks he's been brilliant.

Pellegrini picked the correct team and formation and even after the sending off, he didn't panic and allowed us to keep the best shape we could wththe players we had left on the pitch. I could see something different about him today and it was his inner pragmatism. Even though were one man down, we were still a threat and I still maintain 442 does us no favours.

This is probably the most important match of this season and I can't tell you the last time I've bee so nervous, demonstrative or vocal. We were excellent today, now even against Fulham next week, same formation and team (notwithstanding Kompany) again!

I can't tell you how relieved I am! :-)
 
Merlins display was a 10/10. The defence played exceptionally well.no team spirit my arse.edin back on the goal trail. Fantastic result .happy days.

That was a comment I tried to post in the match day thread, it was locked when I hit submit so I posted it here so the person could see my reply. Now that I'm reading about the post-match I will say it. Excellent gritty team performance aside from you know-who, but great that he didn't snuff that last shot, even though I felt we were in the clear for the last 10 minutes. I wasn't nervous at all, I actually had complete confidence in the defence at that point, rare considering it was MDM and Lescott. Good job City. They just might just be ready for the big run-in.
 
just need Aston Villa to do something and what could have been a disastrous weekend would turn into a fantastic one.

Brilliant after playing with TEN men on Wednesday against a Barca team that like to wear out a 11 man side never mind 10, then ten again today for 84 mins and to get a result. Possible game of the season to look back on if we win this league.
 
Something badly wrong with Yaya's head today. Very flat pre-match interview and then a terrible performance by his standards. Hopefull it's just shellshock after the CL exit.
