Human: News BBC Series About The Emergence of Homo Sapiens Across Africa

one of the few things i miss about england was not paying for my licence fee yet still watching the iplayer.

i cannot do that here.
they say sorry, it’s unavailable due to rights issues.

i wonder if there is a way around it?

Coming over here with their primitive tools, cutting down our forests
Imagine you're letting out some decent yet affordable caves and then these fuckers arrive and scribble all over them.

Also what with this modern fire thing. In the good old days bang cloud sorted all that.

Going to be worth a watch, since homo sapiens have only been around 5 minutes.

Dr Alice Roberts covered this subject in a programme years ago on the telly.

Maybe new knowledge has come to light that has changed our understanding of how humans spread around the world.

I visited Machu Picchu 25 years ago and it was interesting to watch a documentary on TV a few weeks ago that gave a completely different theory as to why the place exists compared to what we were told back then.

I'll be watching it, for sure.

NordVPN works most of the time. You sometimes find it depends on the browser. And sometimes you might have to delete cookies first. It tends to be fussier with live events in my experience.

Facebook, Tik Tok and X prove that ‘sapiens‘ is not quite accurate. We are still Homo Noxius. Give it another million years, then look again.
Homo Noxious is a very apt label for our current times.

of course,
as with a lot of science that is stated as fact,
there is no actual proof that we first developed in east africa and then spread around the world.

it's just a theory.

i prefer the multiregional hypothesis that we developed in different places.

i just cannot get my head round the idea that we all started out looking the same but as we moved round the planet our features changed so dramatically.

chinese people look nothing like african people.

it seems more logical to me that they developed separately and there's no proof we didn't do.

It's the only theory we have that we have evidence for and a lot of evidence. So just because it doesn't seem logical to you doesn't mean it's a wrong theory or a reason to no believe it's true.

If they found a skeleton in china older or same age as ones in africa then yes. Might never be found so i guess they have to go with what they have
