We've heard the same story from them before sadly. We'll get outrage from politicians saying it's not good enough and there'll be a review and nothing will happen until someone else makes a mistake and another child dies but I can't even blame SS solely for it. I have a lot of respect for the Social Service employees who do their jobs to the best of their ability, but when your department is getting shredded by cuts, and you're looking at hundreds of families per person? people fall through the cracks. It's blaming a victim and not the cause, staff and fund SS properly, and less of these things will occur.

The police had previously confirmed that CCTV footage had shown a child matching his description had been spotted on the pavement opposite the seafront.

Whose bloody child was that then?

Is this area that rough that people don't notice toddlers running down the promenade?

Yeah It is a relitavley rough area. The seafront is quite a bit away from Drylaw though.

Let's see what transpires in this sad story. Still no pictures or video of his mum or family.
