And don't forget the 302 City of Poznan Squadron - I asked if City would recognise them in some way when we played Poznan all those years ago - a flag or something on the screens - but they declined as it could be seen as political. Have visions of them all getting out of their planes, linking arms and doing the Poznan when they landed as the English looked on totally bemused :-)

The dog was re-named after a hurried re-write - in the script it was called Kaepernick.............

according the film U-571 this was actually done by the Yanks wasn't it? ha ha ha ha ha

Our lot kicked off about it and the film-makers were forced to put something in the credits at the end of the film, saying that the first Enigma had been captured by the Brits.

As for the Poles, probably only them and the Russians that hated the Germans more than us at the time.
