We will never have a better chance

I'd have preferred Notlob though

Visiting Stokie here.

Herr Huth would be a huge loss for us. Apart from anything else, he has (staggeringly) been one of our main goal threats this season, and particularly during the lengthy fallow period "enjoyed" by Kenwyne Jones.

But I also agree with one of the suggestions above - that Huth's absence/presence will not ultimately define the outcome. Even with a fully fit squad (including Etherington, Fuller, Heginbotham) Signor Mancini can field a side that could still whack us - and almost certainly (as the odds suggest) would do so (on neutral territory) four times out of five.

However, I (a) would never bet on SCFC out of foolish superstition; and (b) accept that I would be deeply uncomfortable about being such red hot favourites.

Fortunately for you, I doubt professional footballers suffer the insecurities of most supporters.

Dunno, sometimes I think our team is more insecure than us Fans. THe game against Everton was the perfect example. We were absolutely cruising in the first half and could have/should haveen 3:0 up easily before half time. Everton come out in the 2nd half and are right in our face.... and our players don't like that... Stoke are very similar to Everton I think, and I fear for the worst. Granted the last time you beat us was when Adebayor was sent off wrongly for absolutely nothing because Shawcross feigned a face injury after being slightly shoved in the chest and was rolling around like a girl but still.... I would have preferred to play any other team but Stoke.

Those odds (nearly 5 to 1 at betfair), mean you could make a lot of money if you win!
As a Man City fan Huth is most dangerous in our box, he frequently fouls but like many Germans he is clever and gets away with it. I can imagine one of your "big boys" scoring from a Delap throw. Hopefully we will have Carlos back to give us the win.
