hi lads,
a number of us hamburg fans already arrive wednesday in manchester. Beeing real football fans, we plan to have a look at the north conference match Hyde vs. Southport.
Is there any advice you can give us?
Will it be easy to get tickets?
What is best to get there from Manchester City center?
Is there any good location near Hyde to have a cider, or it's better to go back into manchester center?

(and did they allow drums? lol.)
 
No issue for tickets and the ground is only a short walk from the town center(Hyde that is!), best way to get there is probably the bus(more of them later in the night when returning)Hyde is full of pubs. However, I have not been there in a while so can't recommend a good one.

Now you're talking. I live in Hyde, a
stonesthrow away from Ewen Fields (Hydes stadium)

As far as tickets are concerned, you can pay on the door when
you arrive on the night. There won't be any problem there.
You can get to the ground quite easily from Manchester City Centre.
a) Its around £15 to £20 in a taxi from Manchester to Hyde town centre,
b) You can catch a train from Manchester Picadilly train station that takes
you into Newton, about 5-10 minute walk straight to the ground. Very easy
to find from there.
c) Catch the bus from Manchester City Centre. bus number 201 then
a 2 minute walk from the bus stop.

As far as getting a drink in Hyde, Your probably best off having one
in the Wetherspoons in Hyde town centre. Very, Very limited as far as
decent pubs in Hyde unfortunatley.

And the drums, No problem whatsoever with that. You will be welcomed
at Hyde if you generate plenty of noise.

I came to Hamburg and have never enjoyed such a brilliant welcome.

I pity you going watching Hyde.. Especially now they are shitter than they were when i used to go watch them lol
 
Godleys a nicer area.

Whereas you tend to find yourself getting a bit of a jog on coming
up Commercial Brow to avoid getting pillaged. ;-)

Yeah, they are abysmal.

I wouldn't recommend it to be fair.
