The Sportsman and the Cheshire Ring are the best by far for choice of beer. However the Cheshire Ring has really slipped in the last couple of years under the present landlord, choice of beer is still there but judging by the rest of the pub I wouldn't like to know what cellar hygiene is like. Sportsman is a closer to the ground and is probably IMHO the best pub in Hyde.
 
Why not get youselves down to the Lamb inn in Gee cross
This pub is Ricky Hattons local although Ricky will be 5000 miles away in Las Vegas!
 
the world famous hyde baths is next door to ewan fields aswell so you can have a dip afterwards, you will feel like you need a wash after watching that shite
