I always thought Nicky Butt was a blue?

I know for a fact that David May was a blue as a kid (member of the junior blues) and even up to the point of joining the rags from Blackburn. However now he claims that he and his family are die hard rags. As far as I know it was only his brother who was a united fan, although he never went to the game

Not Butt, but did work with a rabid Blue who was on manyoo's books and in same youth squad as Butt, Scholes, Beckham etc....and after several warnings about turning up for training wearing City shirts, he stopped.....then had our crest (ols round one) tattooed over his heart.....he was let go for it too.....

Nicky Butt went to my old Junior school...Abbey Hey in Gorton.

Only found that out recently.

now not for one second am i suggesting that i started this rumour about butt's tattoo, i'd heard it around 1997 though. then i didn't hear anymore about it for a couple of years. soccer am used to do a 60 second gossip phone in where people would claim to have spotted rivaldo at the reebok stadium and the like. anyway, i was bored one saturday morning so phoned up and told lovejoy about nicky's nifty body art. lovejoy was delighted and said he'd monitor it. i swear, the next sunday, nicky butt was in the notw saying he didn't know where the rumours came from but they weren't true. i think i'd re-opened old wounds.
