The 'honours' system is one of many things that stinks in this country. As has been said above, the idea that someone should receive national honours for just doing a (very) well paid job is laughable. If anyone deserves knighting for doing their job it's someone who has spent 40 years cleaning bogs or working down the sewers.

Actually I think honours should only be given for acts of bravery, above and beyond. The rest should be scrapped, even for City players.
