Be honest, you can't be arsed mate.

I'm travelling over the Pennines tonight.

Mate - try the Princess Parkway - it is a damn sight quicker to get to COMS from Didsbury using that than via the Pennines. Hope this helps.

PMSL at the OP. Terrible excuse. I have friends travelling from Blythe for the game tonight, I also drove from Blythe lastnight via the M62 no problem whatsoever to Audenshaw. If you set off early and leave early i assure you, you will have no problems whatsoever especially if you are only coming from Leeds. Blythe is a good half hour further than Leeds remember.

Not at all, I havnt travelled to work today, because the roads and main ring road are shut off around my area. Its not that at all. I have a season ticket and go to every home game a season, every cup game, few awat games per season.

Don't call me a part timer. Would take me over an hour to get onto the M62, this will be the first home game I've missed in several seasons and Iv travelled from Leeds for years with my son.

Rant over.

kiam will be having words

Too right, LCD you are having a laugh mate get your arse on a train its not hard is it? You should take a leaf out of De Niro's book look at the effort he is making to get to tonight's game.

Hang your head, if it were me I'd already be walking.

No Dave likes to prove himself like me, It is all about taking the longest route possible to prove you are a great fan. Take the Stoke game I drove from Wythenshawe to Hollyhead got on a ferry to Dublin and then got the next one back to get to the game with five minutes to spare, thats what I'm talking about.

me and the old man travelling over from bradford tonight no problems on m62.

As i have said before. I have travelled that way today but had to turn back. There is more weather forcasted for later. For me it has worked out as I have come back to my house in Manchester so can make the match tonight. If I had gone to my apartment i use during the week for work i would not of made it. So it is a bit unfare to have a dig at the original post

Eh ?
The majority of our sales reps from work have travelled into sheffield today via the M62 and had no problem whatsoever. I take it you went the Snakes Pass/Woodhead route ? Of course that way will be closed. Jump on the motorway its no problem whatsoever !?

My old man is being a right fanny at the moment. He isn't sure if he wants to go tonight 'because the roads will be murder'. My dad doesn't like being behind the wheel full stop so I told him I would drive him and his 2 mates.

Picture it: me and 3 middle aged, overweight, balding men in my fiesta chugging down to COMS, sparks flying because my suspension is on it's arse and me dad shaking like a shitting dog because he hates my driving at the best of times.

That's dedication.

I am being a lightweight too, took me 4 hours to get to work at brecon this morning, I'll be lucky to get back in time to see it on the box, nevermind an extra 2\3 hours up to Manc. On the plus side the fat guy I sit next too will have more room with the 2 empty seats next to him.

My mate lives in Leeds and says its really bad, taxis charging double and buses not running regularly to get to station and he live miles from train station and doesnt drive. I know he wouldnt miss it if he didnt have to so it must be bad.

I went over to Leeds and back this morning, probably got delayed by about 20 minutes around Jct 26 and 27, other than that the motorway was perfectly clear - and that's fairly typical for rush hour.

As long as you can get to the M62 I see no reason why you couldn't make the game.

I'm in Leeds and it was murder getting to Pudsey this morning. Abaondoned car about a mile from work. Its clearing up now though and I will certainly be making the game, was gonna get the train but as people have said the M62 is fine its just getting to the motorway.

M62 is perfect mate, know loads that have been on it this morning up to sheffield and i was on it myself lastnight back from Blythe. As you say as long as you can make it to the M62 there shouldn't be a problem whatsoever. Funny as fook how the whole country comes to a stand still over a bit of snow.
