I don't know who to vote for

Vote for who YOU want and what applies to YOU and what YOU believe in. Don't let what other people say and pub talk influence your decision. It is a democracy and therefore you should vote for your choice and nobody elses.

I hate them for a reason. For lots of reasons, actually. For the miners, apartheid, Bobby Sands, Greenham Common, selling council houses, Section 28, lining the pockets of the rich and hammering the poor – to name but a few. I hate them because they hate people I care about. As a young man Cameron looked out on the social carnage of pit closures and mass unemployment, looked at Margaret Thatcher's government and thought, these are my people. When all the debating is done, that is really all I need to know

Miners - Authors of their own downfall ,lions led by a Donkey .

Apartheid - Never realised we had it in this Country .

Bobby Sands - Cowardly ,murdering terrorist scum .

Greenham Common - Fat lezzers with fuck all else to do .

Selling Council Houses - Enabled many Working class families to own their own homes for the first time and gave them a sense of pride and achievement for their toils .

Section 28 - Good, Homo's dont need publicising .

because...

I'm a first time voter so have watched the debates etc. and trawled through the BBC online stuff and came to the conclusion that...I like the Conservatives best. But I see on here and in everyday life that quite a lot of people have a bitter hatred of them and to be honest it scares me, some people's hatred of them is very strong, and so public a few times I feel that I'd fear for my own safety admitting voting for them.

So what do I do? I don't like the Lib Dems because I disagree over Trident, immigration amnesty's and the sheer fact some people on here would actually vote for them because of safe standing, which I find ridiculous. And Labour has in my opinion made an utter mess and I don't think Gordon Brown should be PM because in my opinion Labour should have been forced to call an election after Blair stepped down because people voted for a Labour Government headed by Blair, not Brown, who also became head of the party unopposed by seemingly bullying other party members into not challenging, which is undemocratic in itself.

So yeah, what do I do? I don't want to spoil my vote as to me that's pointless and I wouldn't consider voting for anyone outside the 3 main parties. Advice welcome.

Vote for the party whose policies you agree with and stuff what other people think. It's your decision and no-one elses business.

I'm being tactical with my vote. At first i didnt want to vote because i dont agree with any of the Big 3 and not one of their leaders have the balls to do what is needed for this country. However, millions of women lost their lives fighting for the right to vote so out of respect for them i'm going to vote.

However, i'm not voting for any of the top 3. I'm going to choose some random party like BNP or the Green Party - one that would never get elected. It stops the big 3 gaining my vote when i dont believe in them.

I've got the feeling that this is a piss-take... As if anyone would beat you up just for voting Tory?? They might take the piss out of you for being a spotty little twerp, perhaps they already do...?

Anyway, even though I disagree with your choice, you should vote Conservative because that's obviously what you want to do... You didn't give any good positive reasons why but I'm sure you must have some!?

The Safe Standing idea isn't and shouldn't be the only reason to vote Lib-Dem but it could be a deal-breaker for those undecided...?

Do what you think you should do, not what you think other people want you to do...

Totally unprovoked and unnecessary comment, it's not like you know me or are in a position to judge. Also I have had aggressive comments made in the general direction of people who vote Tory and it's people like you who put me off, pre-judgemental due to problems which occured 20 years ago, plus it's not like Labour have been godly saints.

The suffragettes who lost their lives would be so proud.

And how is voting for a party you know wont get elected 'tactical'? Are you Stuart Pearce's daughter?

I think he was joking with that one Berti.

People aren't judgemental simply on the Thatcher years, people will never vote Conservative because of what the party stands for, its culture and its policies.

Labour havn't done everything right, but i honestly think without the invasion of Iraq, we'd be seeing another landslide Labour victory. It's almost become cool to hate Bush/Blair/Labour because of Iraq, but around that theres been a lot of success.

I don't particularly agree that you shouldn't vote for Labour because Brown wasn't elected PM... remember your voting for a political party, not not a single figure. You should have reasons (like with Lib Dems) why you want to vote Conservative, Manchester's districts are generally safe Labour territory, there was a stat saying were the 5th most deprived area in the country, and Conservatives are generally thought to favour middle/upper class.

From the policies i've seen from Conservatives so far; Europe/Community Councils - i mean how on earth is a community building and running a school, dentist etc really going to keep standards high!?/Working Age plus knowing some of the bills they've opposed during Labours reign, i really can't understand why anyone would vote for them... other than 'old fashioned wealthy people'.

But thats just me, your free to choose whoever you like for whatever reason... unfortunately ;)

Vote for the party you agree with, screw what everyone else thinks. You don't have to tell anyone who you voted for.

Exactly.

Go in the booth and put your cross against the name of the party candidate you feel most represents your own thoughts.

Don't worry about what people may think, as they will never know.

Cast your vote as you see fit.

Vote Tory or the nation will be flooded with illegal Macedonian Blue Tits who are willing to plaster a ceiling for 43p a day. They will also be responsible for 100% of crime in the country alongside the homosexuals and those odious creatures some people insist on referring to as 'women'.

If the above statement worries you then vote Tory.

If you think it sounds like bollocks, well done: you're a human and free to vote as you please.
