So whilst getting her food ready I would sing 'Daisy, Daisy, the best dog in the land and all the world'. Or something similar.

Do other people do this or something similar? I cannot be alone on this.

My dogs called Daisy and I sing her the exact same song. It can't be weird if more than one person does it :-)

Not a dog or cat but my niece.

My sister is blue but my brother in law isn't. So when I ask her what colour she is and she responds 'blue blue' my heart skips a beat. Then I hug her and sing the last few lines of My Way by Sinatra ..... let the records show, WE took the blows, but did it OUR waaaaaàaaaaayyyyyyyy.

yeah i do this all the time, the worst was when late at night i was saying to my dog Luna in a baby voice, come on Luna buna bunting, over and over and some bloke i didnt see was stood at his gate, aaarrrrrrrhhhhhhhh cringe
