he's been a rock for nearly a decade,, and i think people have forgotton just how much we have relied on him.. its easy to point the finger at him for a slip up ,, but dont for a minute think that terry,toure,lescott wont be prone to the odd fuck up!! he would deffo fill a void through some part of the season, and to sell him for a paltry 2 mill is an embarresment to the player!! we should at least do what liverpool did with hyppia,, and give him a testamonial at the end of this season,, letting him have his send off!!

Agree in lots of ways mate but have you ever thought that he might not want to sit on the bench at his age and time in his career.
He is an international and not playing will not help that.
In life everything moves on and Dunne will always be a legend to a lot of us.
If he goes he goes with my thanks for some wonderful performances and for his loyalty and i wish him all the best!

I'll go with the send off, fitting tribute.
But Dunne will never help us make the top 4, he is not as good at the players we are touted with. It would be unfair to expect him to warm the bench most weeks; I am sure he wants to play football, if someone gives him that and a fair wage its what he will want.

He's been a hero for several years and I'd like him to be part of the team when we win something.
I hope we only sign one of those CB's we are linked with and that the new one, Dunne and Ned will fight for the places in the team.

i can agree that he may not be good enough,, but would lucio,puyol be the answer either? theyre both in their 30's and no prem experience... was laurent blanc a good signing? i dont think he was , he was a great defender on the continent, but it took him a season to adapt,, and even then, he struggled!!
