I'd rather have somebody who can remember the basics such as "don't let the ball bounce"...

You mean like Vidic against the Dippers !!!

lol. To be fair to Vidic, he didn't screw up that often for the rags, he just chose to do it in the biggest game of their season at the swamp..X-D

As for Dunne, thanks for the memories Richard, 2m is a nice fee that might help him get a nice signing-on fee.

But we can do without the daft mistakes, red cards, own goals he became more famous for in the last couple of seasons.

I want Dunnie to do what every he wants

If we are getting 2 new top class CB's and Dunnie want to move so he get first team football good luck to the guy

and when he come back I'm sure we'll all give him a massive cheer

Does anyone remember the reception Big Joe Corrigan got when he came back to City..it'd be like that with Dunnie..if he goes, we'll wish him well, he'll always be a City legend

unfortunately hard decisions have to be made if we want to take the next step and sentiment cannot cloud the managers judgment, dunne isnt consistent enough to be in a top team. He's not got a bad life and i'm sure he will be fine and will always got a good reception at city.

I wouldn't get rid of Dunne. He is a City legend and could be useful. Also he could be awesome next to a better central defender. Who knows?
It would be superb if we had him in the squad aswell as top class defenders we have brought in.

If we are selling Dunne, that would signal a Centre half on its way in the coming days, and before we go to S.Africa.

I cant see Dunny's chunky arse fitting in 1 of them Recaro's anyway.

Too much sentimentality on this topic. The guy just ain't good enough to go with us on the ride. Thanks for the memories Richard, Sunderland would definately suit his standard of play.

he's been a rock for nearly a decade,, and i think people have forgotton just how much we have relied on him.. its easy to point the finger at him for a slip up ,, but dont for a minute think that terry, toure, lescott wont be prone to the odd fuck up!! he would deffo fill a void through some part of the season, and to sell him for a paltry 2 mill is an embarresment to the player!! we should at least do what liverpool did with hyppia,, and give him a testamonial at the end of this season,, letting him have his send off!!

Grow up!

to be fair MCFC has a valid point. Toure is dreadful in my opinion, watched him 2nd half of the season after we were linked with him in Jan & he was shite everytime I saw him upto the end of April. He made one or two costly mistakes. This is a player we'd have to pay upwards of £12m for....

I like Dunne, and wouldnt be adverse to him sticking around a bit longer & being a squad player. I think on the quiet he'd get a few games regardless who came in.

It would be nice for him to be recognised for a decade at City with a game (I bet he'd give the cash to charity - he looks the type!)
