.....I am taking my little lad to his first match on Tuesday night...at Portman Road!

I don't know what came over me, one miniute I was walking past the ground and he was laughing at the cheers, the next day I was buying 3 tickets.......

What have I done?
Are you sure it was cheers you heard, and not the sound of carrots being crunched?

I once painted one of my subbuteo teams as Ipswich away (black and white) from the 80's... hand did each adidas stripe with the single hair of a paintbrush - insanity...

But but but it's the derby!!!!

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW........ but it was £10 per adult and £3 for kids!!!!!!!

I will be recording the derby.

I did look at getting him and my little lass up for a match but after tickets, travel and staying over it worked out the better part of £300. At this point I thought it better to get him interested in football any way possible.....at least Ipswcih Town aren't a totally dispicable club.
Good to get him to a game and the next day you can show him how it's really done by sitting him down to watch the derby.

Hang on. Was it not Ipswich with the "you are the weakest link" banner?
Yes, it was. In the Joe Royle relegation season, complete with that legendary grey away kit with the lime green and blue stripes down the middle. Fuck Ipswich, bloody sheep molesters!

Not many sheep down this way, pigs and sugar beet, pigs and sugar beet.

Well he enjoyed it so that's a bonus and two wins! Just watched the derby and can't believe that I still get nervous before a game against the swamp dwellers.
