On the back of the excellent i hate gambling adverts thread i am going to take it a step further, i hate ALL TV adverts, they are getting silly now and the final straw for me is the one where the garden shed is crying like a baby because it wants a coat of fuckin varnish and they come out and stick a babys bottle in its keyhole aaagghhh i could kick the friggin telly in
There are numerous adverts that piss various people off as mentioned in the other thread the Victor Chandler ones particually annoy Mrs Underpants, its not only how annoying they are its how long they are on for now, by the time they have gone off you have forgotten what was happening in the film or whatever you was watching, i swear some advert breaks are getting 7 or 8 minutes long !!

There are some good ones though too. The Barclays one where the little girl wants everything, then when she becomes a mother herself she is the one being faced with all the demands. That was a good one.

Old school ads were the best though, like the Carling one with Lionel Blair, who goes to the barbers for a buzz cut. Old school.

Every time I see those Aviva ads with Paul Whitehouse, doing those silly accents, I feel sad. He was, er, ''brill-i-ant'' in the fast show and with Harry Enfield. Now? I just get the urge to ask; where did it all go wrong Paul?

Whilst I agree he is getting old now and I would bet he is getting a fair wedge for his retirement fund by doing it

See I see it the other way. I see stars doing ads like that like they're doing it just because they can, rather than because their careers have faded. Like Clunes in the noddy dog ads, or Henry in the Premier Inn ones. On that, if you watch the Premier Inn ones, there is one with the guy who played Martin in the latter series' of Game On. Now him doing that ad is a faltered career, whereas Henry doing it I would say is him doing it just because he can.

True BB but nothing say's 'i'm finished' like doing these ads.

Agree 100% underpants, the main reason i download tv shows now rather than on the tv is the fact they cut the ads out.

Also the internal recap shows do before and after the breaks.
We know that you effing arse we saw it 2 minutes ago.

Or the repeating of 'later on ...' about ten times that kills any genuine anticipation of said event when it does happen.
Stop pissing around you lazy sods and get more proper footage instead of making a 30min program an hour long.
Wheeler Dealers is a culprit with all the crap, show us Ed fixing stuff then fuck off :D

What about the one where they have the bed in the middle of the street in America and the woman is sat on it going ''aahhh gimme gimmmee'' i think its Febreeze but i dont wait around long enough to find out as i am out of the room rapido.
