I hate Robinho.

You can hate Robinho but lets face it he's the kind of player who has the ability to influence games where defences are sitting deep and inviting pressure which Everton did. We had a lot of the ball on Wednesday but Bellamy, Swp, Barry and De Jong aren't good enough passers in the final 3rd. They haven't got the passing ability to hurt defences which sit deep whereas Robinho is capable of it, we'll struggle again to beat teams like Everton who are well organised and don't push many men forward because we don't have players who are good enough passers in the final 3rd

What a shit thread. You either live in a cave and don't know he left 2 months ago or you're pathetic and want to slag the guy off like a 5 year-old.

Yes.

That's all well and good, and seems to make an awful lot of sense.

But he's bottled it and fucked off, so we'll never know.

I thought that one of the mistakes we made in the January window was to offload Robinho.

We could have used him sparingly in appropriate games, and he could have unpicked some of the more defensive teams at COMS.

Don't play him away from home, but utlilise him when needed. We've no one else like him.

Should never have been able to just piss off like he did. What message does that send other players who are disaffectd and left out - Oh it's ok - sit this one out - don't bother getting your head down for the 60 - 100k a week and for the personal pride of playing well enough to force your selection- we dont enforce such stipulations!!
Weather improving, big games that really do matter, - this would have been his chance to show us if he was world class - instead he's off show boating in some fanny football league.
A terible precedent to se.t - ok he wasn't exactly setting the prem alight - but you always thought he might do something. On Monday night there was no one who could come on and perhaps create something - he should have been made to stay.

He took the easy option and it's a shame but it was his choice and theres not a lot we can do about it. Just got to hope we don't come up against too many teams like Everton who will defend deep because we'll struggle with the players we've got in midfield/wide areas at the moment

Its the business end of the season and you look to your "big player, stars etc."' to really turn up.

Tevez, Komps and the like.

Where's that little 32 million quid shit ?

Pissing around at mostly our expense in the sun.

Thanks for nothing, please please never come back.

People forget his last efforts v Everton. FFS.

Obsessed much? Its not at our expense at all, Santos and sponsors are paying his way. Please don't dig him up whilst he's not here.

I really do despair at the thought of some City 'fans'.

Now we have a bit of till, we can slag off genuine world class players, trying to find their way in the Prem.

Stick him at the apex of a three midfield, behind the striker/s, allow him to drift across that line and interchange with a/ the striker and you will see all the difference in him.

It's stupid to believe he's a left sided player.

For those who don't understand, I've explained how he ended up in that position, numerous times, now.
Failing that, surround him with players who are comfortable on the ball. If we had a team who could advance upfield as cohesive unit, Robinho's touches would be in and around the penalty area. That's how you get the Robbie that plays for Brazil, and the Robbie that was good for Real Madrid.

How on earth can we be having a go at him, yes not here, lets count ourselves fortunate, we was able to see a guy of this class. After Kinky i never imagined a player of such ability to play for our cllub, We all Know the situation with him, but ALWAYS remember, a player of his ability does not come around that often.

I for one feel privilidged to have seen him in a blue shirt
.
you were lucky.

While I think some of the criticism of Robinho is justified, I'm not comfortable with the level of abuse from some quarters that has been directed at him these past few months.

My own belief is that him returning to Brazil isn't so much as a pop at City, but more to do with the simple fact that he is homesick. He might have made a lot of money playing for Real Madrid and for us, but he's still a human being. Hence he has feelings like the rest of us, and like it or not there are some people that will miss the comfort of a familiar environment when working away from their hometown/country regardless of how handsomely they're being paid.

He's been a bit of an arse with some of his comments but they're nothing compared to what went on in his final moments at Real Madrid.

I hated when he was here, at least he's out of sight now, he exemplfies all that is wrong with the modern day footballer!

Robinho would have made no difference in a game like tonight, we lost the game in midfield which meant non of our attacking players got anytime on the ball. Robinho is utter shite off the ball as we all know, dosen't work hard enough and becomes frustrated.

Robinho imo is as good as gone now, especially after slaging of Mancini the other week in Brazil. He represented the start of what will most likely proof to be the best era in the history of the club, but we can do a lot better now, and we WILL get better players in the summer.

we have another workhouses, what we need is quality on the ball ala ROBINHO!!
