***WARNING - This is a PRO Garry Cook post, however I am not Cook himself...honestly!***

I just feel he comes in for a ridiculous amount of stick from supporters and it really frustrates me!

Sure he's made a few mistakes in the past like saying United instead of City but I really like the guy, he seems ultra passionate and prepared to stick up for the club to the bitter end! This latest incident just goes to show that, i'd love to have been there when he had a go at that scouse t**t!

I'm not bothered about anything he's done, saying Kaka bottled it...well he probably did and i'm glad he came out and said it! Saying we'll conquer the world at the supporters meeting in New York as well, love it!

All the people who see he's 'a liability' or he is 'embarrassing' are just boring as far as i'm concerned!

Some people dont know how lucky they are.

Ask a top 4 club when the last time they had a fans forum, players at supporters clubs, or the ability to ask questions ( unvetted ) from the chief exec.

Too many on here follow the media vendetta against Cooky

He brings a lot of it on himself, it's naive IMO to believe that everything is just a media conspiracy against him.

Having said that, it's clear that some in the media don't like him and will take any opportunity to have a go.

Seems to be well within his rights on this latest one by the sounds of things.

I think he is a different kind of CEO and doesn't fit the accepted mould of how the media think a CEO should go about CEO business. I think he is an open and honest guy who, over the next few seasons, will see the kind of change at MCFC that he has been attempting to explain to all and sundry.

Im hoping people can now see why he has said this. Garry knew long before we did what was going to happen in East Manchester. And to be honest, we know jack shit! Cook will know alot more.

Im genuinly excited.

If you talk to people wo work within the club you will find that they all love working for him and that he is a great innovator who only wants the best for us. Basically he doesn't give a damn what the media thinks, nor should we IMHO

His job is to increase turnover and global growth of the brand - seems very good at it

this. he ballsed up once imo with the uwe rosler hall of fame incident. people who doubt him publicly and consistantly otherwise are doing nothin but disrupt the club.

I thought, "Our merchandising values are a shock to me. There’s a Masters tournament three miles down the road with a team of ex-players wearing a uniform sponsored by a whole bunch of sponsors. They used our name! They used our badge! We were nothing to do with it and we actually went and congratulated them in our own programme." didn't cover him in glory tbh either and wasn't impressed with the Dunne comment considering he was still our club captain at the time. I agree totally, if the owner has faith then that is all that matters but let's not pretend he hasn't talked some absolute bollocks.
