Every single tournament without fail is a massive disappointment with the same old squads being announced irrespective of form and fitness.

The same wankers given the same chances every single time.

It's even worse I would argue for us ex-Pats. We can't exactly get passionate and loud and have a good time about a war in Iraq or Afghanistan to be honest.

Supporting England at tournaments over the past 14 years or so for me has been a great source of pride. Always been a huge let down at the same time. I genuinely want to support Ireland or someone else this time around and that is so terrible to say. It's almost as if you are a right-wing **** to be passionately English these days anyhow :(

From 1990 onwards i've had massive enthusiasm for England when we're in tournaments, and as i've got older, that enthusiasm turned to excitement. A beer with the boys on match day, the build up - everything. That got destroyed last summer, it was like a hole appearing in my heart watching that shower of fucking shite wimper out of a tournament like that.
At that point I said to myself i'll never watch a tournament again - then Capello fucked off not so long ago. I thought I might give it a chance this summer after all, but having seen that squad I can safely say I will spend my summer decorating the house, listening to and watching anything other than England.
I hope Ireland do well now, just to make us look really fucking shit.
