You should not fuck with someone's pension retrospectively.

Many other people have had to endure such cuts, and a lot worse, for a long time now.

Firemen need to get up to date and realise just what is going on for most of the people who pay their wages.

No what I'm saying is it's our busiest time usually calls quadruple. Fires these days are not our biggest customers these days it's usually RTCs amongst other things, every man and his dog has a fire or fireworks most of them don't even know why.

That's because they also have their own jobs to do as well as cover for you when you can't be arsed.

In fairness it is a skilled job and your terms should be honoured in full pro rata, new starters should be offered new contracts, public sector pensions have been very generous in the past and need to change

Sorry to disappoint you but any of the Marine Engineering branch are more than capable of doing your job. I'm trained in all of your upper case jobs. Sorry - just read it again and I can confirm I've never rescued a cat from a tree.

In fairness if someone promised you retirement at 55 and a decent pension and then took it away you would be pissed off no? it is irksome how some claim their public sector jobs should come with an MBE or Nobel peace prize

I'm annoyed the state pension age is going up to 67 and that means 2 more years for me and i,m only 45
