....if Sunderland do us a job on Saturday. If they don't i'll continue to despise the pan-faced prick.

Reckon Sunderland can do Spurs on Saturday? It's all set for us with them starting and finishing before we play. Imagine the blues go into kick off with the incentive that Spurs has lost or even drawn? We should be beating Burnley anyway given their lack of any kind of form, but going into it knowing a win takes us forth will give them that little extra push.

Bruce will probably throw the game though!

Sunderland are good at home. So yea, they can at least hold the cockney pricks to a draw

I still think liverpool are the bigger threat

Think the Black Cats could do Spuds some damage. Can't see the luck of the Irish, the bounce of the ball, the rub of the green, the swings AND the roundabouts, the smooth and an absence of rough, deserting Tottenham.

Not sure mate, they looked good on Sunday, but look at who they play on Monday. Brum away. Its possible that cum Monday night we are still 1 games less than the scouse, but many points clear. Villa look more or less out of it at present. I think Brum can at least draw with Liverpool though.

Spurs would have to lose for us to have a chance of going 4th. A draw for them would keep them 4th - our goal difference is not good enough.

4 Tottenham Hotspur 31 17 7 7 57 29 58
5 Manchester City 31 15 11 5 58 39 56
6 Liverpool 32 16 6 10 53 32 54

Yeah you're right mate, apologies. Potentially then if Bent goes out and shows the twitcher he was wrong, and we win and then Liverpool lose, points wise it can then look like this

4 Manchester City 32 16 11 5 58 39 59
5 Tottenham Hotspur 32 17 7 8 57 29 58
6 Liverpool 33 16 6 11 53 32 54

and that will make Pigeonho one happy little man!

Brum away is 1 of the 2 games they will drop points in, the rest are absolute bankers for liverpool wins. I personally think liveprool will get something out of chelsea at anfield, so I'll keep my fingers crossed they drop points against brum

all contenders for 4th spot away from home

this is a big weekend for us all and we MUST put burnley to the sword

Not being funny but sunderland would of conceeded at least 3 goals when we played them the other week if it wasn't for their keeper.

Brum had a shitload of chances too, spurs create lots of chances with their style of play i can see them beating the mackems tbh.

Spurs are on fire, you're right, but like another poster said, Bent will want to prove a point or 2. I don't think its a dead cert Spurs will win. A draw would be good for us, but a Sunderland win would be perfect. Can't wait for Saturday. Chelsea beat united, Sunderland beat Spurs and we beat Burnley. Wonder what odds i'd get for that?

if we win at burnley (which we should) and any of the other teams drop points i will settle for that. havnt liverpool got birmingham. that could be tough. sunderland away is a tough game aswell.

I agree. Said for a while that Liverpool will probably get fourth. Experience and know-how is a big factor, we're simply not used to needing to win so many games and the expectation it brings. I'm not sayin we can't/won't finish 4th but I do believe Liverpool are big dangers. They could easily win every game from now until the end of the season and if they do that they'll more than likely finish 4th.
