Personally I would have played our best side and got the three points in the bag then worried about Liverpool, next weeks FA cup game is not the top priority IMo the league is. Hope this team does the business, it is what Mancini is paid for.
So get 3 points today and sacrifice Tuesday?

Great logic.

We are more than good enough to win both games with virtually different starting elevens. Have faith.

Did I just tempt fate?

Same as mate, Yaya playing advanced should help us going forward.

Having firepower on the bench will give us options if required.

3-1 City

I fancy a clean sheet too. I'll say 3 - 0. With AJ getting his almost customary wonderstrike.

Re: Sunderland v Manchester City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Well, this is Nasri's chance to show us what he can do. Without Silva in the team there might not be as much congestion in the middle, so it could be a little more free-flowing, and we may see the fluidity we've lacked for a few weeks.

It'll be tricky today.

No, but Aguero, Silva and Clichy could have been removed at say the hour mark, if the wheel does come off this afternoon Mancini will probably have to bring them on. As I said I ain't the manager (all blues say thank god). :-)

Re: Sunderland v Manchester City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Want a win and this team can beat Sunderland.

A clean sheet is must have with NDJ in the team, want to see Barry in attacking role sometimes, Yaya the same or even more advanced role and short passes with Nasri.

AJ cutting inside.

1-0 to us with a Kolarov screamer.

Or any other win.

No mate you were just being positive, it looks a strong side to me, and despite the moaning on here by many I think Bob had no choice but to rotate - hardly his fault the PL decided to give the red scouse scum 2 extra days to recover than us

Re: Sunderland v Manchester City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Anyone seen our bench yet?

Plus will someone post the Sunderland side?

Cheers
