Mancini is the one to blame.

Im going to start by saying that I like Mancini so this is not a Mancini Out thread.

But.......

He continues to pick players that are simply not good enough, we all know its the case with Jo and Vieira but the problems go a lot deeper than that.

When he brought Vieira on tonight I just thought "Oh shit" and not because it was Vieira but because what it meant for our midfield, in the fastest, most physical league in the World we had 3 players who are the slowest, least physical in the Prem. A midfield of Vieira, Barry and Milner is quite frankly a fucking joke and it is Mancini who has put that trio together.

We all think Vieira is past it so I wont go on about him but Barry brings absolutely fuck all to this team, I have said it for months but most on here for some reason cant see it and continue with this Barry wankfest. Milner is quite frankly a fucking disgrace and apparently colour blind because he is one of the worst passers of a football I have seen at City. I would genuinely love to see his pass success rate, if it is above 5% I would be fucking amazed.

I genuinely feel sorry for the likes of Silva and Tevez because basically we have a midfield that is totally devoid of any creativity and movement.

As for Dzeko well this fella is on a hiding to nothing because he will get absolutely zero service at City. He was the one striker in World football that I wanted but I should have known really that buying a striker that thrives on crosses was gonna be wasted at a club that doesnt put the ball in the box.

As for the defence well again I feel a little sorry for them because that trio of midfielders are just a waste of space. However Boateng is a serious worry, he is so lethargic and seems to have a "couldnt give a fuck" attitude and whoever told him that he has a left foot and should cut inside more often than not wants shooting!

So out of the XI that finished the game tonight we had the following who are simply not good enough

Barry
Vieira
Milner

We also had the following which I have serious reservations about

Boateng
Toure

and we had Dzeko who must be wondering what the fuck he has joined.

So thats more than 50% of the team struggling or not good enough, so as much as I like him the blame has to go with the manager because he is the one who has put these players together!

thing is it was a failure to control a game when in front, wether the pitch or injuries during the game was a major contribution to this i think it was just part of it? listening to what bobby said reading between the lines, i can see a goalkeeping change, without a doubt he is going to revert to three holding midfielders, he will stop the goal leaks and will not worry what we think, prepare yourselves for the 1 nill thrillers, for me i agree with him, it has to stop, we are too slow in midfield to play an attacking formation, but prepare yourselves for major changes? the only critisism i have in general which has been eating away at me is we have let to many players go out on loan?

I dont agree with you but if that is true then NDJ must be really shit!

Mancini has messed up big style in recent weeks. 2 totally uneccesary replays. Vieira and Jo are fucking useless but he keeps picking them. The defence has been a shambles. 11 goals conceded in 6 games, none of which were against top sides...5 were against lower league sides!! giving up leads three times. Dzeko has completely fucked our system up which was actually workin well before then and we now have 7 games in feb!

Your De Jong hatred becomes more absurd as it becomes more obvious how sh*t we are without him. We don't win without him! Check the stats, we rarely ever win when he is out of the team.

De Jong is slow and poor in the air. Poor at passing and offers nothing going forward.

In comparison Barry is slow but decent in the air and decently strong and reasonable to good at passing.

No excuses the entire team was disappointing tonight don't point your fingers to Vieira or Mancini.

I am sorry but this is a fucking myth, Barry adds absolutely nothing to this team. Doesnt defend, doesnt attack and slows everything down! He is basically Charlie Adam without the quality of passing!

I thought we were controlling the game at 2-1 and looking the most likely to score to be honest until we give away a very soft penalty...very soft...he does not need to make that challenge...Phillips has already played and lost control of the ball and Vinny is dealing with it...poor from Pat.

Elsewhere in the game we gave away possesion when going forward far too easily...major culprits tonight were Boateng, whose distribution worries me and Milner who just cannot seem to find a pass when he gets himself into good positions.

Silva played well and vin was solid at the back I thought..worrying lack of interplay between Tevez and Dzeko at the minute...hope that changes soon...

West Brom up next and we will get space to lay football....keep the faith blues...plenty of games to go yet.

the manager is piss poor ,been sayin it for weeks,
city wont win anything with his negative tactics, slow play ,backwards, sideways stuff
trouble is the owners want stability, so do we the fans but surely enoughs enough
give me £300 million and i could get the team in 4th

Why feel sorry for Silva he was as bad as the rest of the midfield, unbelievable how often the lot of them give the ball away.

If you think Barry`s a better player than DeJong please give me some of what your on.

It is Mancini. How can anyone justify playing Jo and Vieira over Bellamy, Shaun Wright-Phillips and even Ireland? Having said that, I know Ireland was poor last season but at least he had hunger and time on his side, what does Vieira have?

A seriously, what must SWP be thinking? Cannot get a game over Jo, Christ. He has been pretty poor but maybe its got something to do with him playing on the left all the time.

Mancini, your tactics are flawed, get it sorted.

So what does De Jong add? (bear in mind that Barry has made more tackles and interceptions, created more chances, completed more passes, won more headers, lost less tackles, conceded less fouls)

Because everyone can have a bad game, the difference is we all know that Silva is class, he has won player of the month 3 months on the trot. I can even cut Vieira a little slack on the basis that he has been there and done it, won the lot, not really his fault that he is now 134 years old! Whereas Barry and Milner are just plain shit.

I am still sat shaking my head at the midfield in the 2nd half, I honestly dont ever remember seeing a slower midfield! 3 professional footballers and not a single one of them can run!
