Mancini is the one to blame.

Im going to start by saying that I like Mancini so this is not a Mancini Out thread.

But.......

He continues to pick players that are simply not good enough, we all know its the case with Jo and Vieira but the problems go a lot deeper than that.

When he brought Vieira on tonight I just thought "Oh shit" and not because it was Vieira but because what it meant for our midfield, in the fastest, most physical league in the World we had 3 players who are the slowest, least physical in the Prem. A midfield of Vieira, Barry and Milner is quite frankly a fucking joke and it is Mancini who has put that trio together.

We all think Vieira is past it so I wont go on about him but Barry brings absolutely fuck all to this team, I have said it for months but most on here for some reason cant see it and continue with this Barry wankfest. Milner is quite frankly a fucking disgrace and apparently colour blind because he is one of the worst passers of a football I have seen at City. I would genuinely love to see his pass success rate, if it is above 5% I would be fucking amazed.

I genuinely feel sorry for the likes of Silva and Tevez because basically we have a midfield that is totally devoid of any creativity and movement.

As for Dzeko well this fella is on a hiding to nothing because he will get absolutely zero service at City. He was the one striker in World football that I wanted but I should have known really that buying a striker that thrives on crosses was gonna be wasted at a club that doesnt put the ball in the box.

As for the defence well again I feel a little sorry for them because that trio of midfielders are just a waste of space. However Boateng is a serious worry, he is so lethargic and seems to have a "couldnt give a fuck" attitude and whoever told him that he has a left foot and should cut inside more often than not wants shooting!

So out of the XI that finished the game tonight we had the following who are simply not good enough

Barry
Vieira
Milner

We also had the following which I have serious reservations about

Boateng
Toure

and we had Dzeko who must be wondering what the fuck he has joined.

So thats more than 50% of the team struggling or not good enough, so as much as I like him the blame has to go with the manager because he is the one who has put these players together!

I agree completely. Barry isn't good enough, Milner isn't good enough, Vieira should of fucked off to the MLS for his last big paycheck.

Jury is still out on AK & Boateng but don't see them doing anything special.

I think we need a top class partner for Kompany too. We're now in a dogfight for 4th, just like last season with worse players/squad. How the fuck does that happen?

Mancini gets it wrong a lot, too much for a top, top team. (Which is what we're aiming for)
I'm not saying to sack him, just because we truly would be a laughing stock.

Everyone makes mistakes, my problem with Mancini at the moment is he doesnt learn from them. He continues to stick with the same players whether they are playing well or not. Everyone bar him can see that Jo isnt good enough and that Vieira is past it but he is so stubborn he wont admit it and keep them out of the side. All you get from him is "Jo izzzzz a good player"....no he isnt or "Vieira izzzz important player".....no he isnt!!! Wake up!!!

He admitted last night after the game that he was to blame so now we should see some action, if we dont and we continue the way we have recently it really would not surprise me if we were looking for another manager come the end of the season!

De Jong is slow and poor in the air. Poor at passing and offers nothing going forward.

In comparison Barry is slow but decent in the air and decently strong and reasonable to good at passing.

If you think Barry`s a better player than DeJong please give me some of what your on.

These are two different players. We'll be comparing Hart and Dzeko next. De Jong is a tackling machine who will take the ball off the back four and move it forwards, diagonally, sideways or backwards, job done. Barry's game involves supporting the forwards much more. Barry can and has scored from a strikers position, Nige, well we're still holding our collective breaths. This season they have both played in the same team and been immense. The mystery is why we cannot seem to replicate the performances from one game to another. Have we forgotten the Dipper and CFC games at CoMS.

When 2 of your first choice midfield and 1 of your back up players are injured you end up playing your 6th choice midfielder. Vieira's not great, and he was woeful last night, but not many teams have decent 6th choice midfielders.

He had more options than you think.

Zabba could have come on in the middle which he has done countless times before.

Could have put Zabba at right back, Boateng in the middle and VK in the holding role.

Could have brought Silva in to the middle, put Tevez in Silvas role and put Guidetti on up front.

All ifs buts and maybes but any of them were preferable for me over what he actually did!

Our midfield has needed new blood for some time and in January we had the chance to do something about this. We didn't and now we are left with playing Vieira when players are injured.

SWP wasnt allowed to leave in January and yet because he dared asked for a move he now seems frozen out and didnt even make the bench last night. If he isnt going to play him then why keep him?

We bought a striker who whilst is clearly a good player and out and out scorer, it would appear that little thought has gone in to how we get the best out of him and he now looks lost and is adding no value.

Loaning out Adebayor instead of trying to get the best out of him and getting rid of your 2nd best player last season because you dont see eye to eye with him is just poor management.

Last night we had Jo or Guidetti to bring on up front whilst Adebayor is in Madrids first team......Thats seems strange management to me.

A good coach is one who gets the best out of all of his team whether he likes them or not. This is the same in all types of businesses.

We have 3 home games out of the next 4 now and 9 points minimum required in those to keep us up there.

Good thread is this. Whovever said Barry>>>De Jong should be shot.

I've seen enough of Kolorov and Boateng (at centre back although he played well at RB last night too) to be quite excited by them. I've seen enough of Kolo, Vieira and Jo to know they shouldn't be anywhere near our team. I don't mind the fact that we have so many players out on loan but I don't like that we haven't replaced them now we have so many injuries.

So just why didn't we sign a couple more players in January, is it;

1-Mancini didn't think we needed them,
2-Clubs were asking silly money,
3-The Sheikh isn't spending anymore, or most likely;
4-The club are taking the new financial regulation rules very, very seriously.

It is Mancini. How can anyone justify playing Jo and Vieira over Bellamy, Shaun Wright-Phillips and even Ireland? Having said that, I know Ireland was poor last season but at least he had hunger and time on his side, what does Vieira have?

A seriously, what must SWP be thinking? Cannot get a game over Jo, Christ. He has been pretty poor but maybe its got something to do with him playing on the left all the time.

Mancini, your tactics are flawed, get it sorted.

THIS

SWP should be getting games for me. Off the bench at least. If only for the reason that he offers a different option to shake things up.

Ditto Bellers. Yes I know he would only play every other game but what an option to have.

Vlad too could well be a good option to bring off the bench.

Ade certainly would have been.

Who do we usually bring on to shake things up? Fucking jo and paddy! I despair when i see them come on.

I disagree about Stevie though and his time at Villa speaks volumes.
