I like Harry.

He is a twat but somethimes he he is right with what he says. For example his recent comments about the pointless england Friendly. He was spot on to attack it

He's right with most of what he says and he's the only person who's come out and said what needed saying about this stupid England friendly in the week leading up to the first Prem game. What stupid wanker thought that one up, whoever they are need sacking!

What annoys me with the football community, which is highlighted in this sort of thing, is that someone will say to his mates at the pub or post a comment on an Internet forum that he hates Redknapp without really putting much thought into why. Then because so many people are very impressionable they'll agree. Then it catches on and all of a sudden hundreds of people think they hate him. Ask many why and they don't hav a resonable answer (of course some would but there isn't so much to dislike as what gets branded on here)!

And for fucks sake it's not like he's a poison little prick who runs up and down the touch line whinging at the refs for 92minutes and never giving the opposition credit for anything in post-match interviews like M O'Neill. Nor is it like he's Fergie!

Crooked as fuck but in a really likeable way.
Doing an amazing job at spurs, how long did it take for him to to get them from bottom of the table into champs league, what a great achievement.

Hate is too strong........I leave that one for special cases like Gary Ratfeatures.

But this is why he pisses me off.

Harry Redknapp hits out at West Ham in Scott Parker dispute

• Spurs manager rebuts allegations of unsettling midfielder
• Redknapp no closer to resolution in bid for Bellamy

Harry Redknapp has hit back in the row over the future of West Ham's Scott Parker. Redknapp and Spurs were this week accused of unsettling the player with their £7m bid, the Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan saying he was "very angry with Harry, Daniel [Levy, the Tottenham chairman] and Spurs".

But Redknapp argued that any damage to the players' peace of mind was the fault of West Ham. "Who made it public that we made an offer?" he said last night following Spurs' 4-1 friendly defeat against Villarreal.

"You can make an offer for a player if you want to. You can make an offer for anybody. I'm sure the chairman must have got some encouragement or he wouldn't have made an offer. So I'm not sure the full story has been told about that one. The chairman wouldn't have made an offer unless he thought there was a chance that they wanted to do something."

A deal for another target, Manchester City's Craig Bellamy, also seems no closer to a resolution. "I like Craig Bellamy but I don't know if they would sell him," said Redknapp. "The chairman deals with all the transfers. He asks me what I want and I tell him. I don't know where he's at with Bellamy, if anywhere."

He does the old "nothing to do with me guv" and then blatent as you like makes a pitch for Bellers!

Startling hypocrisy!

. However im convinced that one day mabe even after he is gone, he will get found out for being one of the most corrupt people in the English game, but when that day happens I think it'll only add to his legendary status amongst many English fans.

Believe me, it's unlikely he'll be gone by then ;)

Yeah, old 'Arry should be England manager. Because after all what do numourous titles in Spain and Italy, and a Champions League trophy matter in the face of one FA Cup victory? Its all that foreigner Capello's fault, bring in an bona fide Englishman like 'Arry to instill some passion into the lads, like that McClaren fella did.

im not his biggest fan but i dont hate him, i think he does talk sense at times especially with what he said about the england game!

maybe the chairman does the transfers because of what harry got up to at pompey and hes just not trusted...yep he is one big twat

Well after he done such a good job with bournemouth, Southampton and portsmouth without spending any dosh, it would be hard to hate, unless or until you realise that all three clubs were in financial meltdown after he left hmmmmmmm

This is the kind of criticism against him I don't get. It's like you are intentionally trying to convince yourself he's being hypocritical, when he's blatantly not. Both cases are different. Harry is responding to West Ham accussing him of unsettling Parker, when all he did was a make a bid for a player. They were the one's who made it public. If Harry had made it public and then Wham complained then they'd have a point, but that isn't what happened. He's not defending himself by saying it's wrong to go public, but by simply pointing out that it wasn't him, but West Ham that did. It would be hypocriotical if he said he didn't like managers tapping up players via the press, which he hasn't said.

But even so, you have to already dislike him to get angry over his Bellamy comments, as it's pretty naive to believe that he'd have to drop hints to Bellamy through the press. Bellamy would already be well aware of Harry's interest and every City fan must know that, so to get angry about him answering a question put to him by a journalist seems a little dissingenuous. You have to have the desire to make a big deal over something like that. At the end of the day he said he likes a player but would be unsure is his club would want to sell him. This is hardly news to anyone involved, so is it worth getting angry over unless you intentionally want to further fuel your dislike of Harry?

Why the hatred of Redknapp ?
Think he talks a lot of sense and cannot understand the hatred on here about him.
Should be the England manager without any doubt.

How about:

destroying the resources of every club he manages; never giving young players a chance; and courting sympathy in the press for suggesting that 'ickle ol' Spurs can't compete with evil, money-bags Manchester City?
