I was sat next to them from 2.20 and they were abusing him through the warm up, and the game, but I couldn't work out what they were singing.

When Van persie scored his goal he came over to blocks 119 + 120 celebrating and shouting fuck off.

Adebayour and Van Persie both got wound up by the fans and responded.. its what footballs about. People complain that theres no player and fan connection.. but then complain when there is some.

Too true. I want to see more of this in the game not less. One of my memories of Maine Rd is of Ian Wright scoring for Arsenal at the Platt Lane and then running down the entire length of the pitch in front of the Kippax. That was quality. Didn't like it at the time, but fans have got really really soft.

When van Persie scored, I clapped his goal it was a moment of real quality even though I was gutted.
