Her face is still so clear but last week we lost her , A lot to deal with after 48 years.

Treasure your mum she really is the special one.
Sorry to hear that Joeboyblue. Condolences.

Also, welcome to the forum. I hope you have a happy stay.

Thanks.

Iv'e been around BM for years just a reader. But the topic just made me add something .

I can take my ironing around when the missus is being bone idle

She still cooks the best Sunday dinners for us every Sunday

My mum's car once broke down when she was coming to see me in an Under-12s football final. She left the car at the roadside and walked three miles in the pissing rain.

Also love it whenever any football match is on - irrespective of what teams are playing - she was invariably ask one thing - 'Is that bloody Beckham playing?'

Make the most of your mum guys and gals ...... for i am parentless , and both have long since gone from this world.

i'd give anything just to have her back , and to be able to nip round and have the cosy chats and cups of tea that we used to enjoy ......

but it can never be ......

like someone else has already said ... all you have left are the memories.

Just the memories for me also, very treasured ones and i think about them often, god bless them both.
