I miss David Silva.

DS would have had the WHU defence prized open on more than one occasion yesterday. He benefitted from having players in the team, mainly Sergio(!), who were on the same mental wavelength. It'll be fifty years before either of those two could be replaced.

I noticed yesterday that Jesus set off on half a dozen runs but the ball went wingwards instead of forwards. DS would have threaded an inch perfect pass to his best foot and BANG! Pick that one out, Oliver!

The team at the moment is so exceptionally good that though I loved Silva, Yaya, Aguero, Yaya, Zabaleta and Yaya I don't necessarily miss them. I think we'll miss them more in another 5 or 10 years when the dark days inevitably return.

Of course I miss him, he was a beautiful footballer, but I also miss Vinny & Sergio just as much for different reasons, Sergio had you very much on your toes when he received the ball in or near the opposition box. Vinny I miss because of his leadership.
All 3 were model professionals as well.

PS, I miss Sane as well.

David Silva, Kompany, and Aguero have not gone. They are woven into the history and fabric of our club and seared into your consciousness that you carry with you until the day you die. You hold his memory, and the shirt you wear carries meaning for the things he did. That is how I hold on to the things I hold dear. They are with you always.
