I miss Robinho

If there are ANY City fans who think that Robinho will take a warm coat and meekly accept the fact that he is now a squad player, then they need to wake up and smell the coffee. The fact that there are City fans who even think this would be a good idea amazes me. Anyone who doesn't recognize Robinho's class, and isn't desperate to see him team up with the likes of Tevez and Adebayor has my deepest sympathy.

This

Totally agree

Aye, thirded.

stayed out of this thread as i find it down right embarrassing - haven't read it all but wouldn't surprise me if it is the same people saying "leave Robbie out" as were saying "Carlos doesn't do anything other than close people down" the other night.

fooking clueless.

at home Robbie would be first on my teamsheet, ability to go past his man in the blink of an eye.

You'd be surprised. It's full of people saying that Robinho can't expect to walk straight back into the team considering the form of Bellamy and now Petrov. Is that really embarrassing and people being "fooking clueless"...or is it just common sense?

Ummm. hello! 15 goals and dangerous as hell. Total entertainment and a joy to watch play the game. He demands a defender or two every time he touches the ball or is running into space. Robinho is a given on the starting 11 when healthy.

I'm all about samba time.

Who misses out then on current form when everyone's fit? Bellamy who's in the form of his life? Or do we play him alongside Ade and drop Tevez? You don't pick the side on reputation you pick it in on form. When Robi hits form and the others are out of form then he comes in. It baffles me that people would bring him in as soon as he's fit even with the team and players doing so well. Truly puzzling.

SWP goes to bench, not that "puzzling".

simples.

So Bellamy is shifted from the left (where he has been magnificent) to the right or Robinho plays on the right where he it's debatable he is as effective than SWP for 90 minutes? This is my point, why disrupt a winning formula? Let him make some appearances from the bench to get his match fitness and then we can make a decision on when he starts or not.

He's a grown up. A few games on the bench won't kill him.

If Robinho is relegated to the bench, he's off. Simple as that. Tough on the player who misses out, but all players are equal, just some are more equal than others. If Torres is injured and someone does well in his absence does Benitez stick him on the bench? Rooney? Fabregas? Drogba? I admire the sentiment, but people need to get real.

If we have a player in the squad with that attitude we will never win anything. It astonishes me that you actually think Robi's performances have been on a par with the players you list. The players you list are trully irreplacable to their repective clubs, but our results this season, and the results last season when he was out, prove beyond doubt that he is not irreplacable to our club.

I think the squad selection depends on who the opponent is. Need more muscle: sit Bellers. Need more pace: sit Carlito.

Here is the problem (a lovely one at that) with such a deep team... someone will always want more playing time.

I honestly think Robinho is one of the best, naturally gifted attacking players in the world. I would put him on the pitch before Bellamy in most cases. Yes, Bellers is playing like a champ right now and has instant hero status after the derby, but Robbie is my first choice. I want to see a regular team with Ade, Tevez and Robinho playing together. SICK!

Ade for size and finesse up top, Tevez with pit bull determination, and Robinho with hypnotic footwork and a nose for goal.

If dude is playing like shit or getting chopped to bits by thugs, sub in the Welshman.
