I still think we will win the league

I really don't care if pundits or opposing fans or whoever label us as the most underwhelming victors if we win it, who gives a shit? We still would have finished above them so they have nothing to gripe about. There have been either a decent number of losses (i.e. us and Arsenal) or a ton of draws (Leicester, Spurs) from the teams at the top. This doesn't happen every year, but this year it is.

If we are top after 38 matches I could care fuck all about what anyone else thinks, we would be champions.

It bloody won't to me that's for sure, whoever wins the title will have deserved it 100%
 
Looking at Arsenal of late, they have loads of weaknesses and aren't playing particularly well.

When you look at the top of this league these days it's poor. How can Leicester (fair play to them, they deserve to be there) and very poor City and Arsenal teams be going for the title? We've not played well regularly for MONTHS and Arsenal have mistakes in them all over the pitch and Leicester are a mid-table team on a good run. By rights City and Arsenal should be well in the distance out of the title race, watching both teams you'd think we'd be down in 5th or somewhere, but everyone else is even worse than us. You wouldn't think that's even possible watching either us or Arse of late.

When you think back a few years to the very talented Spurs (Crouch Bale Modric vdVaart Dawson) team and City (Tevez Bellamy deJong Barry Kompany) we were battling it out for 4th and 5th. I think those two teams might be 1st and 2nd this season looking at how poor we are and Arsenal can be, they're certainly two better teams than the current Spurs and West Ham teams who are 4th+5th at present.

All it needs is a good run of form and we will PISS this league title. But we're playing like we're 15 points off the top with no hope but 15 points ahead of fourth so we're assured of a top 3 finish. I reckon there's be more urgency in an OAP team. It also doesn't help that there's no urgency or supportive atmosphere in the stands neither, it's dead at the Etihad and full of corporates at away games.

As much as we should be winning the league based on the decline of Chelsea (who are our main threats), we have to be happy we're above Arsenal despite being inconsistent and quite shite at times. We've been battered by the dippers and spuds, lost at Stoke, we've struggled all season to put a run together since Kompany was injured and we lost all ability to defend. I've been waiting for a performance to kick our season into life in the league, I'm still waiting. With Sanchez back for Arsenal they'll have the quality to win tight games. The season starts now, we can't afford any slip ups and we need to be winning near enough every game from here on out, particularly those against Arsenal and Leicester which are at least both at home.

This is what I see a lot on here, fans almost want us to do bad.

If we get to the final we will have deserved it no issues. We are in four comps, the media are against us, the gods are against us t seems. We will have deserved it, why dont you see it that way and enjoy it? If it happens :|
