I think Bellamy wil be great for us.

The reaction on this site was embarrasing to say the least. Would be decent siging in the short term however we should be looking to sign better in the summer making Bellamy a decent back-up player.

And what do you think his reaction will be when he becomes a back-up player or is dropped? Would he get his head down and work hard or join Ben Haim, Jo, Elano and any other dissenters?

Zola wants him to stay, Redknapp, Hughes both want him and yet the experts on here think he is shite.

Personally I will go along with the professionals on this one and reserve my judgment until I have seen him play for us.

He is a disruptive influence who'll spend most of his time injured. He's an arrogant, hateful, vicious little turd. If you thought our club was becoming hated, watch what he'll do to it.

I think we will here city spend 14 million on Bellendamy ... but i recon it will be appearance based and he will be used in uefa cup and when we need a nasty little shite eg wigan, bolton , etc??

He does'nt turn away from the goal like vassell does and he might win more balls than Benjani but he is a T*AT, i would much rather see Sturridge or Caciedo given a chance they seem to be improving in recent weeks.

It's been said loads of times but he is going to cause trouble.

I'm not a fan of his like most but if he does sign we will have to get behind him we don't have to like him but I'm not into slaggin some1 off b4 they have had a go at proving us wrong as somebody allready said he may turn into a good buy for the short term

Bellamy is a wanker, but a quality footballer.

We are really short of a player with real tenacity up front. Imagine Dickov with ability???

Okay I personally would be against this signing due to his lack of ability and twatty temperament.

A couple of opinions from a West Ham forum

"Anything more than £7 million is great money for him, considering his age, injury record and prone to going walkabout every 18 months or so.

If the Spuds or Citeh are happy to pay more than c'est la vie, hope we get a replacement and start a new chapter. Bye bye."

"This is a great price for a player of his age and standard, if true.

Let's not allow his recent good form to cloud the reality of his injury prone, inconsistent time at West Ham.

As long as we have a decent replacement lined up, which I would expect would involve us spending 50-75% of the quoted fee, then I would be very happy with this deal. Not that we have much choice but to accept the deal, since it seems likely he has thrown a hissy fit."

Now where would he fit into our 4 -2- 3-1 formation as I remember at Newcastle he refused to play and threw a chair at a member of staff when asked to play left midfield.

Is Bellamy good enough to lead our forward line.

we DO STILL not know IF Villa OR Kaka are going to join us... so far we have only signed Bridge... I believe Bellamy could prove worth it this season... And by the way I would actually be very sad IF we signed both Kaka and Messi (which by the way has been said will never happen).... I do not think we should be jumping before we can run not least walk... come on FFS, Bellamy is still better than our current firepower... or do you rate Vassel??? FFS.... Give it a rest, a week ago we were all sad that we had only signed Bridge and now You all want Kaka, Messi, Gerrard, Puyol or others in that league but we are currently number 12 in the league, not number one... we are in a building fase....

Some of you are becoming a bit arrogant... and as for the rest of the rumours: Albiol top class defender we wóuld be very lucky to get him, class act

Nigel de jong very god DM... really do hope we get him, he is more important than Kaka at the moment. Maybe that is why Hughes are trying to tie up these two deals (Bellamy and de Jong BEFORE eventually signing Kaka) maybe he is not so stupid to think that ONE player is more important than the whole team....

Even if he is a good player he is stil just one player.... since God is not allowed to play
