Having worked in a corporate environment for a number of years in the past, I have come across a lot of motivational speakers and I can say without any hesitation that it is all a load of utter wank.

That was always my opinion too to be fair mate, as I said I may be too, but think I have an interesting story and can inspire.

Despite being a master of my trade (joiner) for 30yrs I know my downfall is motivation... I'm too set in my 'can't be arsed' ways and doubt very much anyone could change me.. so if you want a true challenge..

As a trained cabinet maker in a former life I'm sure I could help...... do you work for yourself? Site/bench?

I've been self emp for 12yrs, I've previously done bench hand but its mainly refurb/maintenance.
I'm time served in the proper way ie 4yr apprenticeship, C&G advanced cert, as well as being accomplished in plastering, plumbing, tiling, roofing etc. my Problems started when the builder I did most of my work for retired, and as I mention in another thread I packed it in to concentrate on ebay, hence I lost a lot of good customers.
But I admit I now struggle to motivate myself to look for work, instead I rely on people I've known for ages to get in touch with work and word of mouth stuff. Its mainly the last few years with the recession etc that's caused the problem..!
